Intended audience This document is intended for IT and network personnel. It is not an end user document. 3 About iMeet iMeet for Windows and Mac iMeet is a Flash-based browser client used by all participants in the meeting, regardless of role. This is the primary meeting interface for all users. Meeting hosts and guests can host or attend an iMeet meeting from any web browser. For the best meeting experience and to use HD audio over VoIP, they must install the iMeet app for Mac and Windows. The iMeet desktop app makes it easy to host or join an online meeting, manage other iMeet users as contacts, and screen share – all from a Mac or Windows computer. The app is required for HD audio over VoIP. When set to launch at startup, the iMeet app monitors a meeting room for visitors. Hosts only. Jump into your room. Hosts only. See who is waiting in your room and send a message. Guests can register with iMeet by providing their email address and selecting a password. Registered guests can add iMeet contacts and join their iMeet meetings, join recently visited meetings, and manage a profile (including a profile picture). Unregistered guests can join a meeting and register with iMeet. 4 Screen Share Screen Share is included when you install the desktop client. This allows hosts and guests to share an application, a region, or their entire screen with the meeting. When a host selects SHARE ► SHARE MY SCREEN in the meeting, Screen Share is launched. If Screen Share is not found, iMeet prompts the host to install it. The desktop application can be downloaded from https://imeet.powwownow.com/tools 5 System Requirements System requirements for the desktop application To install and run the various components of the iMeet system, your computer must meet the following hardware and software requirements. Masters in Informatics Engineering Internship Final Report Development of Corporate Collaboration Functionalities for Communication Services João Miguel Montenegro dos Santos Barroso Penetra [email protected] DEI Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Fernando Barros Wit-Software Supervisor: Eng. Paulo Sousa Date: 4th September 2013 Development of Corporate Collaboration Functionalities for Communication Services ii Development of Corporate Collaboration Functionalities for Communication Services Abstract Nowadays, due to globalization, increase of competitiveness and organizational structure, people are required to move around the globe in order to achieve their goals. The need to commute is based on the necessity to meet with collaborators, clients, prospect clients or any other person that is on a different location. Since this need for travelling consumes a large amount of money and time resources, it is necessary to find an alternative that allows people to meet and collaborate anywhere. Consequently, this internship attempts to overcome this collaboration need with two prototypes. The first one is a Web Application that is interoperable with other types of devices in order to maximize the opportunity to collaborate. Although it is not possible to implement all functionalities in every type of device, joining a video conference from a cell phone only with audio is still more valuable than not joining at all. The only way of making all of this possible is using a mature architecture such as the IP Multimedia Subsystem. The second one is an
