The Playbook SAT Boot Camp Do you have a child in high school that is interested in the healthcare field?
Penn Medicine has partnered with the Cradle of Liberty Council of Scouts to launch an Explorers Post. Meetings are for local high school students to learn from Penn Medicine employees about different ways they can pursue a career in healthcare beyond the notion that a student can only be a doctor or nurse. Through this partnership, the Penn Medicine Explorers Post hosts career exploration meetings once a month, highlighting different career opportunities in healthcare.
Meeting Schedule
Our monthly meetings occur the last Tuesday of each month from 5:00pm-6:30pm on the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC) Campus in the Philadelphia Heart Institute (PHI) Auditorium. Below is our schedule for the rest of the school year.
March – Nursing
April – Medical Simulation Education (tentative)
May – Paramedic/EMT/PennSTAR (tentative)
Monthly meetings are planned through May, and will break in the summer to coincide with the school year. Want to join us? See below.
Want to Join?
If you have a student who is interested, please follow these steps:
1. Download the youth application.
2. Have the interested student complete the application.
3. Either bring the completed application to the next Penn Medicine Explorers Post meeting or send an electronic version to the following email address: [email protected].
