Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Component Requirement Computer The Inspiron 2500 notebook computers are well below specs to run the software that we are running now. They have a Pentium III processor at 1GHZ. They also have a 512MB memory limit. The standard software we are running now requires more than this to work well. While the minimum requirements listed looks like it should run but this is with very limited functionality. Instant search requires 512 MB RAM or higher. Grammar and contextual spelling in Word is not turned on unless the machine has 1 GB memory. Search and Spell Check are some of the features that are used in this set of applications. Our antivirus is a similar issue. The minimum specifications listed on the Symantec Site are surprisingly low. We have tested on computers that are above these specifications and found that the system is unusable until we uninstalled it or the memory was upgraded to at least 1GB. The requirements that the software publishers put out are definitely MINIMUM requirements as most of the time it takes a lot more to make an application run well. Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Component Requirement Computer and 500 megahertz (MHz) processor or higher 1 processor Memory 256 megabyte (MB) RAM or higher 1, 2 2 gigabyte (GB); a portion of this disk space will be freed after installation Hard disk if the original download package is removed from the hard drive. Drive CD-ROM or DVD drive Display 1024x768 or higher resolution monitor Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack (SP) 2, Windows Server 2003 Operating system with SP1, or later operating system 3 Certain inking features require running Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition or later. Speech recognition functionality requires a close-talk microphone and audio output device. Information Rights Management features require access to a Windows 2003 Server with SP1 or later running Windows Rights Management Services. Connectivity to Microsoft Exchange Server 2000 or later is required for certain advanced functionality in Outlook 2007. Instant Search requires Other Microsoft Windows Desktop Search 3.0. Dynamic Calendars require server connectivity. Connectivity to Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with SP1 or later running Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services is required for certain advanced collaboration functionality. Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 is required for certain advanced functionality. PowerPoint Slide Library requires Office SharePoint Server 2007. To share data among multiple computers, the host computer must be running Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows XP Professional with SP2, or later. Internet Explorer 6.0 or later, 32 bit browser only. Internet functionality requires Internet access (fees may apply). Actual requirements and product functionality may vary based on your Additional system configuration and operating system. 1 1 gigahertz (GHz) processor or higher and 512 MB RAM or higher recommended for Business Contact Manager . • What Are Kernel-Mode Rootkits?
www.it-ebooks.info Hacking Exposed™ Malware & Rootkits Reviews “Accessible but not dumbed-down, this latest addition to the Hacking Exposed series is a stellar example of why this series remains one of the best-selling security franchises out there. System administrators and Average Joe computer users alike need to come to grips with the sophistication and stealth of modern malware, and this book calmly and clearly explains the threat.” —Brian Krebs, Reporter for The Washington Post and author of the Security Fix Blog “A harrowing guide to where the bad guys hide, and how you can find them.” —Dan Kaminsky, Director of Penetration Testing, IOActive, Inc. “The authors tackle malware, a deep and diverse issue in computer security, with common terms and relevant examples. Malware is a cold deadly tool in hacking; the authors address it openly, showing its capabilities with direct technical insight. The result is a good read that moves quickly, filling in the gaps even for the knowledgeable reader.” —Christopher Jordan, VP, Threat Intelligence, McAfee; Principal Investigator to DHS Botnet Research “Remember the end-of-semester review sessions where the instructor would go over everything from the whole term in just enough detail so you would understand all the key points, but also leave you with enough references to dig deeper where you wanted? Hacking Exposed Malware & Rootkits resembles this! A top-notch reference for novices and security professionals alike, this book provides just enough detail to explain the topics being presented, but not too much to dissuade those new to security.” —LTC Ron Dodge, U.S.
