To see the Service Pack that's installed for Windows on your computer, follow the steps below. Viewing system properties. My Computer, found on the Windows desktop or in the Start menu. You can obtain the SP1 updates by using one of the following methods. Note If you have the Click-to-Run version of Office installed, you will be prompted to update automatically to the SP1 version. You do not have to install an update by using one of the methods in the "Resolution" section. Those apply only to a Windows Installer-based (MSI) installation. Method 1: Microsoft Update (recommended) To download the service pack through Microsoft Update, open Update & Security in Windows Settings. For more information, see the following Knowledge Base article: You can opt in a computer to the Microsoft Update service, and then register that service with Automatic updates to receive the SP1 update. Microsoft Update will detect which products you have installed, and then apply all updates to those products. Method 2: Download the SP1 packages from Microsoft Download Center. All SP1 packages are available for download from Microsoft Download Center. You can download and install the following service packs for each product that you have installed. Note To determine the version that you should download and install, such as 32-bit or 64-bit, follow these steps: Open any of the Office 2013 products. I was wondering, is there any service pack available for Windows 10? I had to format my disk recently, and it took several hours to download and install all the updates. I don't want to go through that process again. I wasn't able to find a single file that collects all Windows 10 updates. I found on several places on Internet that Microsoft has announced that no service packs will be available. It is really annoying having to download over 1 GB of updates every time I install Windows 10 on a machine. 2 Answers 2. Windows 10 has moved away from a "Service Pack" model to a "yearly major feature update" model. In practice , not a whole lot has changed, though! You'll be pleased to know that Microsoft makes ISO files available for download for the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition Update, which is a "Service Pack" in all but the name (its actual functionality is effectively identical to what they used to call a "Service Pack"). If you install Windows from an Anniversary Edition ISO (i.e., "Build 1607"), you'll have to do significantly less patching post-install than if you install from the "Windows 10 RTM" (Release To Manufacturing - the original Windows 10 build) ISO. That said , there is currently no easy way that I know of to install to an end-user machine from a Windows ISO (with a graphical installer, etc.) that will leave you fully updated on first boot . This is possible using something called Slipstreaming where you basically build your own custom ISO that consists of the latest Windows Build (i.e. 1607) plus the latest Updates (which are so-called "slipstreamed into" the ISO file upon build). This is for advanced users as it's not especially easy or user-friendly to do it, and it's only worth your time to do so if you intend to reinstall very frequently or install Windows on many, many machines (5 or more). The slipstreaming process, briefly, involves: Download and run WHDownloader Grab all the updates Grab an official ISO file of Windows 10 from Microsoft; e.g. you can find some links here (the direct links to Microsoft or its Content Delivery Network are legal ways to download Windows media; Microsoft no longer places tight control on the download of Windows installation media.) Use a slipstreaming tool, such as NTLite, to first open your Windows 10 ISO (the original, which you downloaded from Microsoft), and then slipstream all your updates into it. The Winbuzzer article I linked to above contains some detailed instructions with screenshots, but I captured the general flow of it here for posterity's sake (I didn't want to take their images due to copyright). Having said that, Windows 10 is designed with many Power packed features. Most of the problems arises with the incompatible application or drivers. Installing latest compatible drivers for Windows 10 from Manufacturer's website will cure most of the issues. Also it's recommended and a good idea to keep your system up to date with Windows Updates. There are lot of updates rolled out to fix the most common issues that are faced with incompatibility on Windows 10. You can also fix the problems by using built-in troubleshooter. Press Windows Key then type ‘ troubleshoot ’ and select the same from the list. Select “View all” on the left panel to locate all troubleshooters. There are not likely to be any service packs for Windows 10, because Windows 10 uses a different model for updating. Windows 10 is what Microsoft calls Windows-As-A-Service, which means it's being continuously updated. Windows 10 is a brand new operating system, and like all new operating systems it needs lots of updating to fix all the early bugs and install features that were missing when it was first released. Windows 10 is due to receive two major upgrades: one in October and the other in Q1, 2016.

Microsoft Security Bulletins Microsoft Security Bulletins Install Windows Security Patches and Service Packs. To download patches, run Windows Update. By default Avid supports all Windows Service Packs and security patches (sometimes referred to as “hot fixes”) which apply to the environments in which Avid products are deployed. We refer to them as Windows Updates in this document. Customers can schedule the download and installation of Windows Updates whenever they are available and make sense in their production environment. Avid tests the updates within several days of their availability. However, customers do not have to wait for the testing to be complete before installing the updates. Our current testing methodology is to utilize Windows Update on a representative sample of Avid products upon notification of new Security Bulletin availability by Microsoft. These systems are updated and observed while under test. Once the test period has completed (approx. 5 days), support for the latest release of Security Bulletins is announced. Avid encourages customers to do their own independent research and to review Microsoft’s c Security Update Release Notes before installing any update to your operating system.
