The intention then and today, was and is to, in the spirit of Jesus Christ and St. Francis, minister in and with the African American Catholic community and to reach out to the African Americans of Anderson County. Furthermore, all who come to St. Mary’s from whatever background and ethnicity with a desire for Christian family will be regarded as brothers and sisters to us. We also see ourselves as called to live in Gospel relationship to the alienated and the poor of this community. Lent is a time of spiritual renewal, and during Lent we put special time aside to be prayerful and reflective. Good communication is a sign of good friend- ship. Lent calls us to re- new our relationship with God, by communicating with God each and every day. Some people like to pray with the scriptures during Lent. Others like to pray the Rosary, or some other devotional prayer. Others like to just find a time to sit quietly each day in God's presence. There are as many different ways to pray, or communicate with God, as there are prayers, but we encourage you to find a way of connecting with God that feels right for you.     The STAR VESTRY VIEws As I write this I have just come home from helping at Rummage. I am always amazed by the amount of things that we receive for donations. It seems that IN THIS ISSUE we slowly start to fill the trailer, then before we know it’s mostly full with Vestry Views people still having donations in their cars, trucks or vans. I enjoy watching Parish Register people of all ages on trailer unloading day helping each other, laughing and From the Rector seemingly having a good time. Vestry Highlights After the unloading of the trailer and various other vehicles happens, the Financial Report organizing magic begins. Pam may disagree but I think it’s amazing. People Church School just seem to know where things go, for the most part, thank goodness that Stations of the Cross people seem to remember how it works from year to year. If you haven’t Easter Egg been around for this, it is something to see. Once again, people seem to be Hunt/Cascarones enjoying the process, laughing and having a good time. Thank Yous The Rummage Sale is always a wonderful opportunity for people from all Service Ministry Update over this area to come and see how wonderful Epiphany is and to meet the Red Wings Concessions equally wonderful people who work at the sale. It is a huge undertaking to Euchre Night set the church up, set up the sale, have the sale and clean up all within seven Niagara Wine Trail days, it is nothing short of a miracle.

Pick from fun spring designs! • 12:00pm—Activity: Limbo o See how low you can go when the Activities Team leads a limbo competition on the sand! • 1:30pm—Craft: Shell Necklace $8 o Decorate your very own shell necklace with our fun collection of beads. The shells are picked from our beach, so this is a perfect, personalized souvenir. • 2:30pm—Activity: Sponge Race o Join in on our sponge relay race! Psalms 23:6 Monday Messages 03.22.21 We are Preparing for Easter Egg Hunt We are planning to have an Egg Hunt this Easter here at CPC. Asking for your prayers and support in sharing the love of our children and the love of Christ with our community. We are asking if you could fill up some plastic Easter eggs with goodies and bring them here to the church. Also New Focus Member needs our help. We have a New Focus members who is about to have surgery and she will be in need of a shower seat and a knee scooter (one of those little scooters you put your knee on and have mobility).
