  • The Easter Story with Resurrection Egg Hunt Happy Easter!! Today We Will Have an Egg Hunt, but It’S Not the Kind of Egg Hunt You Are Used To
1 The Easter Story with Resurrection Egg Hunt Happy Easter!! Today we will have an egg hunt, but It’s not the kind of egg hunt you are used to. It’s a special egg hunt that will help us learn all about why we celebrate Easter! Please listen closely because this isn’t like a normal Egg Hunt! During this egg hunt, you will be finding ONE egg at a time. I will tell you a color and you will go find ONE egg that color and run back to me. All right! Let’s have some fun learning all about the true meaning of EASTER!! READ the Story below: Over 2000 years ago, in a land far away, called Israel, there was a man named Jesus. He was no ordinary man, He was the Son of God!! He created Heaven and the whole Earth. Jesus came to Earth for a very special mission; He came to die and pay the price owed for our sins. He came to save us so we could live with Him and God forever in Heaven!! Everything He did while He was here on Earth was because He loves us soooo much! If there is ANYTHING you remember from today, I want you to know that JESUS loves you very much, no matter what good or bad things you do, He always loves you and wants the best for you!! When Jesus was about 33 years old, He rode a donkey into the city of Jerusalem. The people in the city were so excited to see him.

  • Easter Egg Hunt Gospel Lesson
Easter Egg Hunt Gospel Lesson Hey, kids! Are you excited about hunting Easter eggs today? Me too! Before we get started though, can someone tell me why we celebrate Easter? Is it about the eggs? [Guide children in telling about Jesus' death, burial & resurrection. We will have parents listening as well, so we don't want to assume everyone has heard the Easter story.] Did you know that even as we hunt Easter eggs today, we can be reminded of what Easter is really all about? Look, I've brought all these colorful eggs! Some are small and some are big! They're all different colors too! They're kind of like us! Don't they look good? [Hold up the basket of empty plastic eggs for them to see.] In a few minutes, you're going to go out and find some Easter eggs, aren't you? Jesus tells us He is the Good Shepherd and we are like lost sheep. All of Heaven celebrates when even one of us turns back to God and is found! (Luke 15:1- 6) What's the best part of finding Easter eggs? [Allow some to answer.] Surprises inside...right? [Open an egg and show that it's empty...look very disappointed.] My egg is empty... You know this reminds me of how I was before Jesus came into my life. My life felt empty...like something was missing and I couldn't find what. Sin causes our life to be empty, but Jesus overcame sin and death so our sin can be forgiven and He wants to fill us with His life - abundant life (filled with good things) and forever life (never ending).

  • Kids Time Easter Egg-Citement Theme the Resurrection of Jesus Christ
Kids time Easter Egg-citement Theme The Resurrection of Jesus Christ Object An Easter basket with four plastic eggs. A small cross, three nails, a stone. Scripture Matthew 28:6 He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said. Come, see the place where He was lying. Mark 16:6 But he *said to them, “Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; see, here is the place where they laid Him. Good morning boys and girls. How many of you plan to have an Easter egg hunt today? As you can see, I have my Easter basket ready. When I was a boy, we used real eggs which we decorated ourselves. I guess some people still do that, but I think most people use plastic eggs like these. Usually, there is a piece of candy or perhaps a small toy inside. The eggs in my Easter basket are very special, because each of them will teach us something which will show us exactly what Easter really means Inside the first egg is a cross. The cross reminds me that Jesus willingly carried his cross to Calvary to die for my sins. No one told him he had to do it, he did it because he knew that was the only way that I would ever get to heaven. God loved me so much that He sent His only begotten Son so that I could have everlasting life. Inside the second egg are three nails.
