VESTRY VIEws As I write this I have just come home from helping at Rummage. I am always amazed by the amount of things that we receive for donations. It seems that IN THIS ISSUE we slowly start to fill the trailer, then before we know it’s mostly full with Vestry Views people still having donations in their cars, trucks or vans. I enjoy watching Parish Register people of all ages on trailer unloading day helping each other, laughing and From the Rector seemingly having a good time. Vestry Highlights After the unloading of the trailer and various other vehicles happens, the Financial Report organizing magic begins. Pam may disagree but I think it’s amazing. People Church School just seem to know where things go, for the most part, thank goodness that Stations of the Cross people seem to remember how it works from year to year. If you haven’t been around for this, it is something to see. Once again, people seem to be Hunt/Cascarones enjoying the process, laughing and having a good time. Thank Yous The Rummage Sale is always a wonderful opportunity for people from all Service Ministry Update over this area to come and see how wonderful Epiphany is and to meet the Red Wings Concessions equally wonderful people who work at the sale. It is a huge undertaking to Euchre Night set the church up, set up the sale, have the sale and clean up all within seven Niagara Wine Trail days, it is nothing short of a miracle. Epiphany Garden News Pets Meals on Wheels I thank Pam and WOE for taking this task on year after year, it’s not easy, Ding Dong Chicken BBQ and probably not fun, but I think it’s good for our community. It is also good Scholarships for the members of Epiphany, first because we get to clean out our homes and donate to a good cause. Second, because we get to showcase how Lawn Rangers amazing the people of Epiphany are. When Jimmie Sue and I were at the Ode to Epiphany College of Congregational Development this past summer we learned that Easter Flowers when you invite community members to events at your church they

sometimes feel they are vicariously connected to your church. Perhaps that APRIL CALENDAR may translate into new members. * * * BULLETIN PRAYER LIST I enjoy working at the Rummage Sale because I get to spend time with great, Parish Office 247-4190 hardworking people as we all try to reach a common goal of raising money * * * to help our community, both Epiphany and beyond. I know Pam will thank SUNDAY WORSHIP everyone who helped out, but as a member of the leadership team of 8:00 & 10:00 a.m. Epiphany, I too would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved, it is nothing short of amazing watching this yearly, spring Epiphany tradition.

In ancient times, Christians commonly made pilgrimages to holy places. Pretzel Making 3/3 During the medieval period, when pilgrimages to Jerusalem were popular, people there began to walk the path Jesus took from his arrest to his crucifixion. Since not everyone was able to travel to Jerusalem, the church began to offer local pilgrimage liturgies, such as, the Stations of the Cross. People would move from station to station, following the events through the words of scripture, drawing us into Jesus’ journey, thus giving us an opportunity to understand something of Christ’s passion and our involvement in it.
