Senior RB Charlie Spegal is chasing history, entering the 2019 season needing just 409 yards to become the state’s career rushing leader. Spegal currently stands third on the state’s career rushing yards list with 7,699 yards. He needs 231 yards to pass Co- lumbus East’s Markell Jones for second place and 411 to pass Elwood’s Sammy Mireles for the state record. Last season, he set state records with 68 rushing and 70 total touchdowns. He tallied 3,356 rushing yards, the third-highest single-season total in state history.
