Team titles by women’s tennis, men’s outdoor track & field and baseball highlighted 13 teams among the NCAA’s top 10 in 2016–17. Ten teams finished in the top five—equaling a program record. The three NCAA 1991–92 5th MEN’S OUTDOOR TRACK & FIELD titles equaled the program’s single season high set 1992–93 4th during the 2011–12 campaign. 1993–94 4th • The Gator men’s track & field team successfully 1994–95 5th defended its NCAA Outdoor title, scoring points in six of 1995–96 3rd the final 11 events to move past NCAA Indoor champion Texas A&M for the team win. The Gator men’s track & 1996–97 5th field program has collected seven NCAA titles (three 1997–98 T-2nd indoor and four outdoor) since 2010, leading all Division I 1998–99 4th programs by two titles during that span. 1999–00 7th • The Gator baseball team won its first NCAA title after 2000–01 7th sweeping LSU in the College World Series Final. Florida 2001–02 3rd is now one of six schools (California, UCLA, Michigan, Ohio State and Stanford) to win a national championship 2002–03 7th in baseball, basketball and football—and is the only one 2003–04 6th to win all three within the last 50 years.
