OHLONE GREENWAY

The Ohlone Greenway is a 10.3 mile, mostly urban, pedestrian and bike path that begins in Berkeley and ends at Baxter Creek Gateway Park in Richmond. For most of its length, the trail follows the elevated tracks of the BART Richmond train line. In El Cerrito, the path runs along the eastern edge of the San Pablo Avenue corridor, underneath the elevated BART tracks, from the south to north city limits.

The Ohlone Greenway Pedestrian & Bicycle Wayfinding & Amenities Project will improve the Green- way in and around the El Cerrito Plaza and del Norte BART stations. The project began in April and will continue through the fall of 2018, and include improved signage, widening the mixed-use path, and upgrading and expansion of crosswalks, curb ramps and lighting, as well as the installation of landscaping and furnishings along the entire trail.
