A segunda fase do projecto Alfa Braille arrancou a 7 de Fevereiro, em Luanda, com uma cerimónia de entrega simbólica pela BP Angola de equipamentos – entre os quais 40 máquinas de escrever Braille – à Associação Angolana de Cegos e Amblíopes de Guerra (AACAG). O objectivo é reduzir o analfabetismo no seio da comu- nidade defi ciente visual em Angola, formar 40 cegos e amblíopes em técnica de Braille e 120 familiares em orientação e mobilidade.

The second phase of the Alfa Braille Project was initiated on February 7th in Luanda, at a symbolic ceremony where BP Angola donated equipments - among which 40 Braille writing machines- to the Angolan Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired by the War (AACAG). The goal is to reduce illiteracy among the visually impaired com- munity in Angola, to train 40 blind and visually impaired persons in Braille technique and 120 family members in orientation and mobility.
