ANNOUNCEMENT: The Motorcycle Trials Club of Qld, hereafter called the PROMOTER will conduct an Inter-Club Trial on Sunday 27th July 2014. 2. JURISDICTION: 2.1. The abovementioned meeting has been authorised by Motorcycling QLD who has issued the Motorcycling Australia Permit Number 41651, and is open to holders of current Motorcycling Australia Open, Restricted, Club, One Meeting or Nipper/Mini Licences and are full financial Members of M.T.C.Q., W.D.T.C, C.Q.T.C or L.R.M.T.C. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any entry, with the approval of MQ, should the circumstances warrant. (OML to Juniors if they hold a current JCP Log Book.) 2.2. The event will be held in accordance with the 2014 Manual of Motorcycle Sport General Competition Rules (GCR’s) the Australian Trials rules (23.7.3), these Supplementary Regulations, and any Final Instructions verbal or otherwise, with prior approval from Motorcycling Queensland. BY ENTERING THIS MEETING ALL PARTIES AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES, REGULATIONS, BY-LAWS AND INSTRUCTIONS. 3. ENTRIES: 3.1. Entries open forthwith and Pre Event Entries close Tuesday 22rd July, 2014. Entries will be accepted on the day. However, so as to encourage early entry submissions fees will be cheaper for “Pre Entry” than for “On the Day” entries. 3.2. In the case of postponement or abandonment of the meeting, all or any part of the entry fee may be retained by the Promoter, if such retention is approved by Motorcycling Queensland. 3.3. Veterans will be riding the C Grade line. Juniors must be under the age of 16 as at the 1st January as per GCR 12.16.0.1. 3.4. Only entries received on the official Entry Form that is accompanied by the correct fee will be accepted. 3.6. NOTE: - THE RETURN OF ENTRY FEES FOR ANY RIDER WITHDRAWING FROM THE MEETING IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE PROMOTER AND WILL ONLY BE CONSIDERED IF NOTIFIED AT LEAST 24 HOURS PRIOR. 4. INSURANCE: 4.1. National Personal Accident Scheme provides basic cover for death and permanent disability. 4.2. Ambulance Insurance is compulsory for licensees. 4.3. IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE CONSIDERATION TO TAKING OUT WEEKLY BENEFITS INSURANCE. 5. MEDICAL SERVICES: A First Aid officer will be available. 6. ENTRY FEES: 6.1. ON the DAY: Solo - $50, Junior - $40, Mini bike / Intro Mini - $30. Minder - $40 Family $80 (One adult and any number of Juniors / Mini bike riders (U16) that are in that Senior rider’s immediate family.) PRE-ENTRY: Solo - $40, Junior - $35, Mini bike / Intro Mini - $25. Minder - $35 Family $65 (One adult and any number of Juniors / Mini bike riders (U16) that are in that Senior rider’s immediate family.) 6.2. Cheques and Money Orders are to be made payable to the Motorcycle Trials Club of Qld. Please no cash in the mail. ANY FEES FOR DISHONOURED CHEQUES WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ENTRANT .6.3. CLASSES OF COMPETITION : Open Solo, B Grade, C Grade, Veterans 40+, 50+, 60+, Classic, Twinshock, Air Cooled Monoshock, Clubman, Women’s, Junior, Sidecar, Mini bike and Intro Mini,. Introductory. PLEASE NOTE: All competitors may enter one class only. 7.1 TY CHALLENGE: Eligible to ALL YAMAHA TY’s relative to the MOM’s rules for the above mentioned classes, which may be entered. (Scorpa’s are not eligible) 8. AWARDS : Awards will be presented to 1st, 2nd & 3rd to all grades. In the event of only three (3) entries, trophies will be presented for 1st place. Intro-Mini which is a participatory class only and all participants will be awarded a medallion only. 8.1 TY CHALLENGE AWARDS: TY award to the highest placed “TY” in each class. Perpetual “TY CHALLENGE” Trophy to TY Champion of the day. 8.2 Best “Presented” TY Award bikes, may or may not be entered for competition. (eg: show & compete or show & shine only) 9. ENTRIES TO CONSTITUTE A CLASS: 9.1. To constitute a Class, the number of contestants entered and competing in each Class shall be no less than 5. 9.2 Should there be insufficient entries in any Class of Competition, the decision to run or cancel the Class, or to combine classes and re- distribute any awards, will be at the discretion of the promoter, subject to Motorcycling Queensland approval. 10 RACE FORMAT: 10.1. The number of Sections and laps to be completed will be announced at rider’s briefing. 11. MACHINES AND RIDERS: 11.1. All machines entered must comply with the current GCR’s for Moto Trials Competition. 11.2. Multiple entry of the one Machine in the same Class of Competition is not permitted. 11.3. Competitors including Minders are to present themselves dressed for competition including helmet, which are to be in good condition and complies with 23.1 or 30 of the GCR’s, together with bike, competition licence to Scrutineering at the time listed below. 11.4 Motorcycle Tyres shall be of a Universal Trials Pattern. 11.5 Helmets are mandatory. All persons including officials using any bike, trike or quad at an event must be wearing a properly secured helmet. 12. NAME PLATES: Identification plates must be fitted to all machines as per GCR’s 23.2.3. 13. RIDERS BRIEFING: A Riders Briefing will be held prior to the commencement of the event and ALL Competitors / Parents / Minders MUST attend the Riders Briefing. Riders Briefing is a Non Smoking Area. 14. DRUG AND OR ALCOHOL TESTING: 14.1. All competitors and officials are advised that as part of the MA drug education program, drug testing may take place at any competition in accordance with Australian Sports Commission policy as implemented by the Australian Sports Drug Agency. 14.2. If any doubts exist over banned substances it is recommended competitors telephone the Drugs in Sport Hotline 1800 020506. When drug testing takes place, the presentation of awards may be delayed at the Motorcycling Queensland discretion until the results of the tests are known. 15. CODE OF CONDUCT: All Competitors, Officials and Parents are reminded of the Motorcycling Australia By-Law - CODE OF CONDUCT (as stipulated in the GCR’s) which is a guide to appropriate behaviour at all Motorcycle Race Meetings. This CODE OF CONDUCT applies to this Meeting and will be enforced. 16. TIMETABLE: Sunday 27th JULY 2014 Machinery Examination - 8.30 am – 9.30 am. Rider’s Briefing - 9.45 am Start - 10.00 am or by order of the Clerk of Course Finish (Section Close) - 3.30 pm or by order of the Clerk of Course 17. PENALTIES – PLEASE NOTE Competitors will incur a one (1) point per minute late for Machinery Examination and exclusion after sixty minutes late. Competitors handing in a scorecard within 15 minutes of the sections closing will not be penalised. Competitors handing in a scorecard later than 15 minutes after sections have closed will be given 1 point penalty per minute up to 30 minutes late. Competitors handing in a scorecard more than 30 minutes after sections closed will be excluded from results (DNF). FACILITIES CAMPING IS ALLOWED ($5.00 Fee per Camp site) BYO WATER TOILETS WILL BE PROVIDED. FOOD AND DRINKS AVAILABLE ON THE DAYS OF THE TRIAL ONLY MOTORCYCLE TRIALS CLUB OF QLD INC.
