The Global Forum 2006 on 9 & 10 November in Paris brought together the expertise of more than 300 high-profile representatives from across political, business, and academic institutions and represented more than 30 countries. Having done our very best to create a warm and enjoyable atmosphere during the Forum for people to get and to work together, I sincerely hope that the Global Forum 2006 will result in new partnerships, collaborations and other valuable contacts being established. An event of this scope does not just happen. It took an entire year’s effort by a great number of people with a great amount of skill and expertise. It also requires an enormous commitment of the people involved and I would like to take the occasion to express my appreciation for the excellent work done by the team of the City of Paris.
