Quality Control’s City Girls Debut With “PERIOD” Mixtape. Already packed with a roster that includes the likes of Lil Yachty, Migos, and Lil Baby, the Atlanta-bred Quality Control has most recently been grooming Miami rap duo City Girls to be the next name to pop in the industry and today, the two arrive with their debut PERIOD mixtape. Outfitted with 16 tracks total, there isn’t a feature to be found on the freshman outing, save for an appearance from Ball Greezy on the raunchy cut “Movie,” as members JT and Yung Miami spar off with the kind of unconventionally empowering lyrics finding a strong resurgence in today’s landscape. On the backend though, you’ll find notable up-and-comers handling production with credits from the likes of Quay Global, Audio Jones, and Mari Beats. Fans of Trina, Khia, and a certain side of Lil Kim will find a new favorite in City Girls who find not-so-subtle inspiration in all of the above. City Girls Drop "Jobs" Single & Visual Following Album Leak. City Girls will now drop their album "City On Lock" tonight after the record was leaked online. Fans love when they're able to get a leaked version of an artist's album, but for the artist, it can be a nightmare. When JT was preparing to be released from jail, Yung Miami conducted a few interviews where she spoke about the next City Girls album. She said both she and her best friend were excited to return to the studio once again, and Yung Miami teased that the project may drop in Spring 2020. That time has come and gone, and many artists found themselves delaying releases due to COVID-19. We knew a City Girls record was on the horizon, but on Friday (June 19), news surfaced that the album, reportedly titled City on Lock , leaked online in full. Both Yung Miami and JT took to social media to voice their disgust with having their work shared without their permission. After voicing their anger online, they decided to release the album tonight, and just minutes ago, they shared their lead single "Jobs" along with the accompanying music video. Full City Girls Album Reportedly Titled ‘City On Lock’ Leaks Online. City Girls have been in the studio creating music and their new album was supposed to release this Summer. The last single they put out was ‘You Tried It‘ back in November. But it looks like they are the latest victims to an online leak. A full new album from Yung Miami and JT titled City on Lock has surfaced online featuring 15 tracks in total and guest appearances from the likes of Doja Cat (on ‘P*ssy Talk’), Lil Baby (on ‘Flewed Out’) and Yo Gotti (on ‘Broke N*ggas). It wasn’t too long ago when their Quality Control label head, Pierre “Pee” Thomas had tweeted about the duo’s album. The initial delay could have been due to the protests in wake of George Floyd’s death but it’s unfortunate that the a full project has surfaced online. This will probably mean that fans would have wait even longer for the official LP. Young Miami is also mourning the sudden death of her ex-boyfriend and son’s father, Jai Wiggins. She paid tribute to him with a series of photos on Instagram earlier this week. Yung Miami reacted in an angry manner on her Instagram a few minutes ago which is possibly connected to the news of the album leaking..
