  • District Disaster Management Plan Sidhi
District Disaster Management Plan Sidhi By Nishant Maheshwari (MBA-IIT Kanpur) MP School of Good Governance & Policy analysis In Consultation with School of Good Governance & Policy Analysis, Bhopal Seeds Technical Services Government of Madhya Pradesh District Administration, Sidhi District Disaster Management Plan [DDMP] Template Preface Sidhi Disaster Management Plan is a part of multi-level planning advocated by the Madhya Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (MPSDMA) under DM Act of 2005 to help the District administration for effective response during the disaster. Sidhi is prone to natural as well as man- made disasters. The plan consist Hazard & Risk Assessment, Institutional Mechanism, Response Mechanism, Standard Operating Procedure, inventory of Resources etc. Hazard & Risk Assessment is done on the basis of past thirty year disaster data & is collected from all departments. It is suggested that the District level officials of different department will carefully go through the plan and if have any suggestions & comments be free to convey the same so that same can be included in the next edition. It is hoped that the plan would provide concrete guidelines towards preparedness and quick response in case of an emergency and help in realizing sustainable Disaster Risk Reduction & mitigate/minimizes the losses in the district in the long run.

  • 2014 Lok Sabha Elections: What's in Store for Madhya Pradesh?
2014 Lok Sabha elections: What’s in store for Madhya Pradesh? blogs.lse.ac.uk/southasia/2014/03/03/2014-lok-sabha-elections-whats-in-store-for-madhya-pradesh/ 2014-3-3 Shreyes Shekhar analyses recent elections and historical trends to predict the outcome of Lok Sabha elections in Madhya Pradesh. Madhya Pradesh is a stronghold of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), as was reinforced by assembly elections held in November 2013. In the elections, the incumbent Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan retained power, winning an impressive 165 seats in a legislative assembly of 230. The state assembly elections likely foreshadow a BJP win in Madhya Pradesh in the Lok Sabha elections, unless an anti-incumbency wave resulting from the large-scale administrative failures redirects votes to the Congress Party or the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). It is more likely, however, that those who voted for Congress and the BSP during assembly elections will lean toward the BJP in the upcoming polls. Indeed, in a Lokniti-IBN National Tracker poll conducted in Madhya Pradesh, 62 per cent of the respondents preferred to see BJP candidate Narendra Modi as the prime minister. Notably, 79 per cent of the respondents believed that the credit for the assembly election victory went to Chouhan, with only 4 per cent believing that Modi was responsible for the party’s impressive performance in the state— an indication that voters are able to divorce the national elections from the state elections to some extent. Madhya Pradesh, which sends 29 members to the Lok Sabha, has traditionally been a BJP stronghold: the last time the Congress Party won more seats than the BJP in the state was in the 1991 elections, during which Congress won the 11 seats that are now part of Chattisgarh (Sarangarh, which was one of the eleven, has now been abolished), winning only four more than the BJP in the rest of the state.

Volume 5, Issue 4 (Sep. – Oct. 2013), PP 43-45 www.iosrjournals.org Chemical Studies on Impact of Air Pollution on Wheat Crops of Vindhya Region of Madhya Pradesh, India Dr. Vinod Kumar Dubey1*, Aparna Pandey2, Archana Shukla3 Abstract: For most of the people specially belong to the Northern India, wheat is a very important crop because their main fooding depend upon wheat, there are several eatable food products prepared by wheat. Wheat is cultivated mostly in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh. Recently in these states industrialization and infrastructural development work are going very fast causing huge amounts of pollutants and particulates entering into the atmosphere. Pollutants are mainly oxide of carbon, oxide of nitrogen, oxide of sulphur, oxide of chlorine, chloride ions, ammonia, organic acids and aldehydes where as particulates are dust, smoke, mist and fog particulates are deposited on the surface of wheat some of these particulates are hydroscopic in nature. They absorb pollutants and form acids. These acids in turn develop micro electrochemical call with flower of wheat which destroy flowering of wheat. Other factors are acid rain; global warming and depletion of ozone layer also affect the production of wheat crops. Keywords : Pollutant, Particulates, Electrochemical cell, Wheat flower, Acid Rain, Ozone depletion and Global warming. I. Introduction: The Vindhya Region of Eastern Madhya Pradesh includes district Sidhi, Rewa Rewa, Stana and Shohdol. The larger area of this region known as "Ganga Basin" where several rivers like Son, Gopad, Banash, Bichhiya, Beehar and Tones are contributing substantially towards cultivation of wheat to meet the demand of people of this region at large.

  • PRE-FEASIBILITY REPORT Regional Integrated Solid Waste Management Project at Rewa by Rewa MSW Holding Limited
Regional Integrated Solid Waste Management Project at Rewa by Rewa MSW Holding Ltd. Pre-Feasibility Report PRE-FEASIBILITY REPORT Regional Integrated Solid Waste Management Project at Rewa by Rewa MSW Holding Limited 1. Executive Summary The current Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) management system in Rewa and 27 other surrounding ULB’s currently does not comply with Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016. Government of Madhya Pradesh (GoMP), realizing the necessity of efficient waste management system, wanted to establish an Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) Project on Public Private Partnership (PPP) basis for management of MSW generated in Rewa Town and 27 other surrounding ULBs (12 ULBs from Rewa District, 12 ULBs from Satna District and 4 ULBs from Sidhi District). The 28 ULBs have entered into an inter-ULB agreement for establishing an “Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) Project” on regional basis through public private participation. The participating ULBs have nominated Nagar Palik Nigam Rewa (NPNR) as their lead member and authorized NPNR to select a private party through bidding process. “Rewa MSW Holding Limited (RMSWHL)” was chosen by NPNR for ISWM Project, through bidding process, with a concession period of 21 years. The current waste generation from the 28 ULBs is estimated to be about 340 TPD. However, considering the population forecast and corresponding waste generation, the Project Proponent, Rewa MSW Holding Limited, proposes to establish a 700 TPD Regional Integrated Soild Waste Management Facility in Rewa Town. The proposed ISWM Project will manage different kinds of waste generated in the whole project area, including residential, commercial, expired/rejected branded products (non-hazardous), institutional, hotels, restaurants, markets, marriage halls, gardens, parks, and non-hazardous industrial waste, construction and demolition waste etc.
