Tracerouting Top 100 Domains Tracking Forensics Atlas Tracerouting Top 100 Domains SHARE Lab + Critical Interface Politics Research Group at Hangar.org A Nov & Dec 2016 Far from being a purely immaterial entity, the Internet is an extremely complex structure composed by a massive number of actors that have a direct and deep impact in every aspect of our daily lives. In order to create a wider picture of the data flow and map key locations and actors we conducted analysis of the data paths to the top 100 websites visited by the users located in Spain. Every dot on this map represents one IP address (router or other network device) and the lines between the dots are the links – cables that connect them. • Swinglifestyle
SwingLifestyle Swing Lifestyle aka sls.com! When you say swing, what's the 1st thing that comes to your mind? For me, it's the baseball swing to my neighbor's car, to other's it might be a sew-saw swing or a punch, you know, like swinging. Everyone has their own interpretation of what swinging means to them but if you ask my uncle Ronnie, and by the way, he is a dirty old man who still is a horn dog and has a 30 year younger fiancee, to him, it means changing partners, having sex with them all the while you still remain together with the spouse that you just traded off. Yes, swingers were the taboo of the 70s but now in the 2018s, they are almost outted completely. Still, they are not as overt as some other sex branches are because they have class. When you check out a site called Swinglifestyle.com aka sls.com you will get dates, holiday bookings, sex stories and so much more. It is a site that's dedicated to swingers and it involves everything that comes along for the ride. With the logo that Swing Life Style has I expected a Unicef type of a site. The whole look is like a retirement home site would have, like "Sunny Acres, the only resort that your granny will feel like at home", something like that. That purplish white look just doesn't say "edgy", it says "you're old, get your caskets on time, old timer". I don't know, there was something about the look but fine.

Palabras claves: pornografía, Pornhub, regalo, adicción, epidemia Abstract This essay investigates the gift that on March 24, 2020, the pornographic site Pornhub offers users as entertainment during the confinement due to the Coronavirus. It investigates the public reasons motivating the gift, and the increase in porn consumption caused by the boredom generated by the quarantine. It proposes that while Pornhub may intend to help protect consumers from COVID-19, the reciprocity its gift obliges us with is not symmetrical.

Ethereum Name Service: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly PENGCHENG XIA, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China HAOYU WANG∗, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China ZHOU YU, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China XINYU LIU, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China XIAPU LUO, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China GUOAI XU, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China DNS has always been criticized for its inherent design flaws, making the system vulnerable to kinds of attacks. Besides, DNS domain names are not fully controlled by the users, which can be easily taken down by the authorities and registrars. Since blockchain has its unique properties like immutability and decentralization, it seems to be promising to build a decentralized name service on blockchain. Ethereum Name Service (ENS), as a novel name service built atop Etheruem, has received great attention from the community. Yet, no existing work has systematically studied this emerging system, especially the security issues and misbehaviors in ENS. To fill the void, we present the first large-scale study of ENS by collecting and analyzing millions ofeventlogs related to ENS. We characterize the ENS system from a number of perspectives. Our findings suggest that ENS is showing gradually popularity during its four years’ evolution, mainly due to its distributed and open nature that ENS domain names can be set to any kinds of records, even censored and malicious contents. We have identified several security issues and misbehaviors including traditional DNS security issues andnew issues introduced by ENS smart contracts. Attackers are abusing the system with thousands of squatting ENS names, a number of scam blockchain addresses and malicious websites, etc.

  • Women's Experiences of Webcam Sex Work in Aotearoa/New Zealand
“You Can Look but You Can’t Touch”: Women’s Experiences of Webcam Sex Work in Aotearoa/New Zealand Madeline V. Henry A thesis submitted to Auckland University of Technology in fulfilment of the requirements for a degree of Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) 2018 Department of Psychology School of Public Health and Psychosocial Studies Faculty of Health and Environmental Sciences – Te Ara Hauora A Pūtaiao Abstract Sex work is a contested subject in academia, particularly in the realm of feminist research. Many argue that sex work should be recognised as a legitimate and rationally chosen form of labour, and that decriminalisation (Aotearoa/New Zealand’s legal model) is necessary to ensure the safety of sex workers and reduce their stigmatisation. However, a prevailing argument remains that sex work is inherently violent and oppressive, and that all sex workers are directly or indirectly coerced into participating in the industry. These arguments have been complicated by digital technologies that allow people to sell sexual services without being physically proximate to clients or pimps. One example of digitally-mediated sex work is the practice of ‘camming’, wherein ‘webcam models’ (or ‘cam girls’ if women) livestream sexual performances for payment. Camming is relatively novel, and remains underexplored in academia. The experiences of cam girls in the decriminalised Aotearoa/New Zealand context have not yet been explored in any capacity, and will therefore be the focus of this thesis. For this project, I interviewed eight Aotearoa/New Zealand cam girls (aged 22-34) and investigated their talk using critical thematic analysis, while drawing on insights offered by feminist poststructural analysis, to identify common discursive threads in relation to their work and their subjectivities.

D. Concordia University, 2020 Once a peripheral phenomenon on the Web, sexcam platforms have been gaining social and eco- nomic importance, attracting millions of visitors every day. Crucial to this popularity is the tech- nical and economic model that some of those sites use. Sexcam platforms combine the practices of labor and user-generated platforms. As platforms, they mediate between users and providers, becoming the feld where those operations occur. Sexcam platforms, however, are more than inter- mediaries, and their structures incorporate and reproduce discriminatory conventions.

DIGITAL 2020 ITALY ALL THE DATA, TRENDS, AND INSIGHTS YOU NEED TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE USE THE INTERNET, MOBILE, SOCIAL MEDIA, AND ECOMMERCE ! IMPORTANT NOTES ON CHANGES TO DATA Changes to data sources, underlying data, and reporting methodologies mean that various figures in this report will not be comparable to similar figures that we published in previous Global Digital Reports. Wherever such changes affect data in this report, we have included a COMPARABILITY ADVISORY in the footnotes of each relevant slide. These changes relate to either (1) a source change, where we have substantially changed the data sources that we use to inform data points; or (2) a base change, where either we or our data providers have made material changes to the ways in which we and / or they collect and / or report underlying data. Wherever such changes occur, we have also endeavoured to re-base the historical data we use for annual or quarterly growth figures, but where we have been unable to re-base historical data, we have included an advisory in the footnotes of each relevant slide. Please see the complete list of data sources at the end of this report for further details. • Computational Resource Abuse in Web Applications
Computational Resource Abuse in Web Applications Juan David Parra Rodriguez Dissertation eingereicht an der Fakult¨atf¨ur Informatik und Mathematik der Universit¨at Passau zur Erlangung des Grades eines Doktors der Naturwissenschaften A dissertation submitted to the faculty of computer science and mathematics in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of doctor of natural sciences Betreuer: Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Joachim Posegga Passau, Germany, April 2019 Abstract Internet browsers include Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to support Web applications that require complex functionality, e.g., to let end users watch videos, make phone calls, and play video games. Meanwhile, many Web applications employ the browser APIs to rely on the user's hardware to execute intensive computation, access the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), use persistent storage, and establish network connections. However, providing access to the system's computational resources, i.e., processing, storage, and networking, through the browser creates an opportunity for attackers to abuse resources. Principally, the problem occurs when an attacker compromises a Web site and includes malicious code to abuse its visitor's computational resources. For example, an attacker can abuse the user's system networking capabilities to perform a Denial of Service (DoS) attack against third parties. What is more, computational resource abuse has not received widespread attention from the Web security community because most of the current specifications are focused on content and session properties such as isolation, confidentiality, and integrity. Our primary goal is to study computational resource abuse and to advance the state of the art by providing a general attacker model, multiple case studies, a thorough anal- ysis of available security mechanisms, and a new detection mechanism.
