At present, this picturesque town keeps attractions of the PRE-Hispanic, colonial and republican period, highlighting in the town streets and colonial portals with shields of the nobles and caciques of the XVII and XVIII centuries. MORAY: It is located about 7 km southwest of Maras and 53 km from Cusco with an altitude of 3,385 m.s. It is a unique archaeological group of its kind in the region. These are gigantic holes that were used by the Incas who built terraces or agricultural terraces with their respective irrigation channels, it is therefore a greenhouse prototype, the biggest hole has a depth of 150 m and an average height of platforms is 1.80 m, between each one of them. Andahuaylillas: Typical Andean village of the time of the colony of singular origin and architecture. It stands out in its Catholic temple of the colonial era with a beautiful decoration and mural painting of the seventeenth and eighteenth century known as the Sistine Chapel of Cusco. We will be returning to the city of Cusco at 03:00 p.m. approximately. TOUR MACHUPICCHU FULL DAY BY TRAIN Shared service guided in two languages Pick up time from 03:15 am to 04:00 am Pick up from 3:30 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. to go to the town of Ollantaytambo. In this place you will board the Inca Rail tourist train at 06:40 am, arriving in Aguas Calientes a person is waiting to accompany you to the bus take them to the Sanctuary of Machupicchu in this place they meet the guide and will have the guided tour about 3 hours at a prudent hour to board the bus and return to the town of Aguas Calientes and then go to the train station and board the tourist train Inca Rail from 14:30 or 19:00 hours depending on the train schedule that you choose to return to the town of Ollantaytambo, in this place the transport awaits you to return to Cusco. Secondary objectives involve: appreciation of (a) the potential and limitations of the singular Andean environment and how human inhabitants creatively coped with them, (b) economic and political dynamism in the ancient Andes (namely, the coast of Peru, the Cuzco highlands, and the Titicaca Basin), (c) the short and long-term impacts of the Spanish conquest and how they relate to modern-day western South America, and (d) factors and conditions that have affected the nature, priorities, and accomplishments of scientific Andean archaeology. The temporal coverage of the course span some 14,000 years of pre-Hispanic cultural developments, from the earliest hunter-gatherers to the Spanish conquest. The primary spatial coverage of the course roughly coincides with the western half (coast and highlands) of the modern nation of Peru – with special coverage and focus on the north coast of Peru.
