FORUM8 Becomes the Title Partner for Rally Japan Press Release 25 May 2021 Rally Japan Administrative Office FORUM8 becomes the title partner for Rally Japan With the new rally plate, Yuji Ito, President of FORUM8 (left) and Koji Takahashi, Chairman of the Rally Japan 2021 Executive Committee We have announced that FORUM8 Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan; President: Yuji Ito) becomes the titLe partner for the Japanese round of the FIA WorLd RalLy Championship, WRC, which wiLL be held in Aichi and Gifu Prefectures in November this year. The new event name is "FIA WorLd RaLLy Championship FORUM8 RaLLy Japan 2021". The new design of the ralLy plate is also unveiLed. The new rally plate of “FIA World Rally Championship FORUM8 Rally Japan 2021” For information contact: <[email protected]> 1 1 FORUM8 is an engineering software company that is actively working on and developing cutting-edge technology for the VR / CG / FEM / CAD / and Cloud-based fields. Its solutions are built with a package software design so that the software can be tailored and customized to fit the needs. The 3DVR technology of FORUM8 is an industry leader in the fields of transportation, vehicle design, and infrastructure development. Its software has been evolving to provide a common foundation to solve industrials and societal issues as the company moves further into Society 5.0. Having made sure of the Drivers' crown with Sébastien Loeb/Daniel Elena* in Japan, the Citroën Total squad is particularly fired up as it bids to seal the championship double. C4 WRCs have been entered for the five-time World Champions* and their Spanish team-mates Dani Sordo/Marc Martí. Two other C4 WRCs have been entered to contest the British round. Ahead is Alaska, behind is the Yukon, both gripped in the deep freeze of an Arctic winter. The sky is slate-grey, no comfort coming from the distant sun, and as the road dips and weaves between mountain and valley, you can hear a characteristic five-cylinder growl. The landscape seems brutally inhospitable, but this is the natural habitat of the Quattro. And here it comes, an Ur-Quattro decked out for battle with quad rally lights up front to light the way and a set of studded Nokian Hakkipeliittas providing traction. Ur: original, primordial, first of its kind. Despite being a 34-year-old classic, this boxy 1980s warrior is going for it, flashing through the ice and snow with the turbo spooled up and boosting. The two crews of ŠKODA Motorsport supported team Toksport WRT in WRC2, Marco Bulacia/Marcelo Der Ohannesian (BOL/ARG) and Andreas Mikkelsen/Ola Fløene (NOR/NOR), reached the finish after 20 stages covering 300.32 kilometres in category third and fifth respectively. One phenomenon is common to tarmac rallies: By cutting the corners, the competitors drag stones and sand onto the roads, each car leaving the racing line increasingly slippery. The first ever FIA World Rally Championship event in Croatia especially lived up to this reputation, the gravel polluted corners causing numerous spins and offs.
