Brews Sponsors Blues Sponsor Preferred Production Partner WELCOME LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Friends and Patrons, In its June, 2019 issue, VenuesNow, a global trade publication covering live entertainment venues, named the Florida Theatre the #1 Top Stop in the State of Florida for 2018-2019, for venues up to 2,000 capacity. The ranking was determined by tickets sold to concerts and events between April 1, 2018 and March 31, 2019. Attendance at over 99 Florida Theatre shows during the 2018-2019 reporting period was 115,910. The next nearest competitor in the same category was Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, which had attendance of 72,849 at 92 shows. Two other Jacksonville venues made the VenuesNow Top Stop list. Daily’s Place Amphitheatre, with a capacity of 5,500, was #1 in the 5,001-10,000 capacity category, with attendance of 105,324. VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena, with capacity of 15,000, was #1 in the 15,001-30,000 capacity category, with attendance of 87,769. Two other First Coast venues made the VenuesNow Top Stop list. Ponte Vedra Concert Hall was #5 in the 2,000 or less category, with attendance of 31,660, and TIAA Bank Field was #4 in the more than 30,000 capacity category, with attendance of 40,003. Even though the Florida Theatre’s capacity is significantly smaller, its attendance still bested attendance at all other Jacksonville venues of any size. Northeast Florida is clearly a hotbed of concerts and cultural events, and the Florida Theatre is pleased to be at the center of the action. What’s on our stage is what really brings people downtown, and we appreciate that you, the audience, have responded to those artists. We work hard and purposefully every year to bring shows and artists from around the world to Jacksonville, and to bring a diverse roster of shows and artists that reach all corners of our community. Thank you for continuing to embrace and support that effort. 4 | FLORIDATHEATRE.COM | BOX OFFICE: 904.355.2787 architecture ◆ engineering ◆ construction Inspired. 1,355 architects, engineers, constructors and administrative professionals. 20 offices across the US, Latin America and Asia. $1B annually for local and global clients in commercial, industrial, federal and infrastructure markets.
