Ritz Theatre & LaVilla Museum JAXJAZZFEST.COM The 2007 Jacksonville Jazz Festival will feature a variety of jazz performances at , The Florida Theatre and the Ritz Theatre & La Villa Museum. Other components at Metropolitan Park include the Art at the Met juried art show and sale and 38 ° Latitude: A Wine Tasting Experience. In addition to performances at The Florida Theatre, A Jazz Odyssey: A retrospective of photographs by Milt Hinton will be on display throughout the festival. Other happenings include Late Night at the Ritz and a Jazz Brunch at the Ritz Theatre & La Villa Museum , the 'Round Midnight Jazz Jam at The Jacksonville Marriott, and complimentary trolley service to downtown venues. The Florida Theatre performances include Diane Schuur with the St. Johns River City Band; Dianne Reeves; Regina Carter; Greg Adams; McCoy Tyner Trio; The Original Superstars of featuring Roy Ayers, Jean Carne, Wayne Henderson of the Jazz Crusaders, Ronnie Laws, Jon Lucien and Lonnie Liston Smith with The Ubiquity Band; and the Noel Freidline Quintet with special guest Von Barlow, 2007 Jacksonville Jazz Festival Hall of Fame Inductee.

The Great American Jazz Piano Competition

The exhibition features photos taken by legendary ja zz ba ssist Milt "The Judge" Hinton . Hinton documented his ja zz journey with his camera for more than six decades. It includes an extensive range of jazz artists and popular performers including Cab Calloway, , Benny Goodman, and Billie Holiday among others. Ritz Theatre weekend performances include Johnny O'Neal; Ya' Gozo 1 The Latin Jazz Band; Chuck Mangione; Roy Haynes Quartet; and Marc Dickman.
