ARNOT MALL 50th ANNIVERSARY & EXPANSION November 16th, 1967, Arnot Realty Corporation, the owners and developers of Arnot Mall, opened the center with 34 stores and JC Penney and S.F. Iszard’s as its anchors. The center continued to grow with two expansions, one in 1980 and the second in 1981, followed by the addition of Regal Cinemas in 1988; and it’s golden anniversary has already proven to be a successful one. H.L. Stephens expanded their current footprint within the Center by forty percent and opened a new location. Bon Ton invested in a larger location within the mall, now occupying the former Macy’s location. Regal Cinema strengthened their commitment by reinvesting and renovation all of their theaters, which include the luxury recliners and Mooney’s Sports Bar and Restaurant opened its 9th location in the mall. And now, Arnot Mall is unveiling their future plans, a redevelopment project that includes building a Holiday Inn Express & Suites in the former Bon Ton location and creating a hospitality, food/beverage and entertainment neighborhood at the Arnot Mall.
