Why did you choose to be a teacher? I love Maths and Science, and for job security one of my teachers suggested that I should teach. It wasn’t till I was in Year 12 that I actually decided to be a teacher. Now, there is nothing I would rather do. What would be your preferred role: principal or class teacher? A mixture of both. Already, I’m missing not having a class and at the moment, it is a bit strange not having to run off and teach. Please come and say “G’day” when you can. I am looking forward to learning how to support the school’s literacy program, in particular reading, and will be away for two days this week in Melbourne attending MiniLit training so I can do exactly that. Do you have any family? I have two children, Maddison, aged 7, and Bradley, aged 5. Maddi attends Terang College, grade 2 and Brad is at kinder. Year 6 students had an enjoyable two day stay at Sovereign Hill, Ballarat where they dressed in costume of the 1850s era. They attended scool and participated in classroom activities such as needle work, pen and ink handwriting and rote learning of 16 times tables.

2017 P-6 Cross Country Two weeks ago, we held our first P-12 Cross-Country. It was fantastic to see the Preps, Ones, Twos and Threes participating in their first Cross Country. Congratulations to everyone who participated and a massive thanks to all the parents who gave up their time to staff a checkpoint, run with their child or to just support and encourage the students.
