AprilApril 110,0 , 11912912 Turners Falls'Falls’ new moving picture theatre, the Lyric, on Third Street, presents a very attractive appearance and under the able and expert management of Lawler Bros. already gives promise of being successful as well as well conducted enterprises of the sort generally are. JuneJune 1212 The big Selig feature picture "The Coming of Columbus," will be shown at the Lyric theatre this afternoon at 3.30, evening at 7.15 and at 8.45. The Selig Company has assuredly created a notable production and one which will long be of use as an educational factor.

JulyJuly 31 Special Pictures at the Lyric Theater "A Nation's Peril," a big two reel Pathe (Pathé)(Pathé) moving picture, will be shown at the Lyric theater, Third Street, next Saturday afternoon and evening. This is one of the most sensational films ever shown in moving pictures, and shows the explosion of a submarine minemune throwing tons of water into the air, carrying with it shattered fragments of a battleship. "The Lady of the Lake," a three reel Vitagraph special feature picture will be shown Saturday afternoon and evening, August 10th.10th. This picture is taken from the poem of Sir Walter Scott and shows many Scottish scenes.

August 28 "The Siege of Petersburg," a spectacular Civil War production based on historical incidents in connection with one of the most sensational campaigns of the rebellion, will be shown at the Lyric theatre, Third Street, for one day only, next Saturday afternoon at 2.25 and 3.45 and in the evening at 7.15 and 8.45.

September 4 ““TheThe French Spy," a three-reel Vitagraph special feature will be shown at the Lyric theatre, next Saturday afternoon, Sept. 7, at 2.15 and 3.30 and in the evening at 7.15 and 8.45.

September 1818 The feature picture at the Lyric theatre next Saturday afternoon and evening will be a gorgeous special two-reel masterpiece, "Ramses, King of Egypt."

September 25 Miss Blanche Williams has taken as position as pianist at the Lyric theatre. Charles F. Shulda takes her place as pianist for the ColonialOrchestra. Orchestra.

October 9 The special feature picture at the lyric theatre next Saturday afternoon and evening is "The Tragedy of the Desert." Every scene was taken in Luxor, Egypt, and on the great Sahara Desert.

November 1313 The vaudeville act at the Lyric theatre for the last three days of this week is "Bessie Fox," a dainty singing, talking and dancing artist.

November 20 "Martin Chuzzlewit" is a three reel feature at the Lyric, FridayFnday and Saturday afternoon and evening. To the lovers of Dickens this wonderful film isis—Dickens.―Dickens.

November 27 A special feature picture, "The Orleans Coach," will be shown at the Lyric next Friday and Saturday. It is a true story of the greatest judicialjudicial error ever committed.

December 4 "The Adopted Child" is the special feature at the Lyric Theatre next Friday and Saturday.

December 1111 -The special feature of the Lyric theatre next Friday will be "The Blighted Son," in four parts. A different program will be shown Saturday.

December 1818 -The two reel special feature picture, "The Man Hunt," will be shown at the Lyric next Friday afternoon and evening for one day only. -Marion & Finlay, clever singing and talking artists, at the Lyric the first half of this week are winning a volume of welcome applause. -The vaudeville act at the Lyric, Thursday, Friday and Saturday is by "The Sharps" who are comedy musical artists of note. Their act promises to be up to the usual high standard of vaudeville seen at the Lyric.

December 25 -Moran & Moran, the classy singing and dancing team, at the Lyric, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of this week have taken the audience by storm at every performance. The Kiplings, in a singing and dancing act, are booked for the last half of the week.

JanuaryJanuary 1,1, 11913913 The three wheel special feature, "The Olympic games," will form part of the picture programme[sic]programme|sic] at the Lyric Theatre, Thursday afternoon and evening, for one day only. The picture was taken at the Stockholm meet and shows the greatest athletes in action.

JanuaryJanuary 1515 The greatest moving picture up-up-to-date,to-date, "Monte Cristo," will be presented at the Lyric theatre this week. Its first showingshowimg will be on Friday and Saturday, JanuaryJanuary 17th17th and 18th.18th.

JanuaryJanuary 22 The Duttons in a musical specialty at the Lyric the last half of this week.

February 5 The special three reel feature picture, "The Mills of the Gods," will be shown at the Lyric, Thursday and Friday afternoon and evening. This is a modern drama that palpitates with fire and power with the most vigorous acting by the greatest artists.

March 26 To celebrate the first anniversary of the LyricLync Theatre on Third Street, the management announce[sic]announce|sic] two big headline vaudeville acts for next Friday afternoon and evening, Faust and Faust, pantomimic and musical comedians, and Skinner and Wood, singing and dancing artists. They also offer on that day the special two-reel Vitagraph comedy drama, "Billy Burger."

April 2 -Kennard and Hart, two clowns in a comedy acrobatic act, come to-morrow to finisfinishh the week at the Lyric. Their act is1s full of fun and is sure to "get" the crowd.

JuneJune 4 Two excellent vaudeville acts at the Lyric theatre, Third Street this week. For the first half, Nash and Evans, a comedy singing, talking and roller skating and tamborine manipulating act, for the last half of the week, Visochi Bros., who do an accordian playing and whistling act. In addition to the vaudeville will be shown the usaual, excellent programme of moving pictures.

JuneJune 1111 "Pickwick Papers," in two parts from Dickens' story of Mr. Pickwick's adventures will be shown at the Lyric, Thursday and Friday, afternoon and evening.

JulyJuly 9 "Mary McDonald" at the Lyric the first half of this week is a very good singer, pleasing the audience with her sweet voice at every performance. The picture programme

JulyJuly 30 Bruno Leucht, who has run the picture machine at the Lyric theatre since September, has gone to Rochester, N.Y. with a position at the Plymouth Theatre. August 6 Will Dockery, singing and talking comedian, opens a three days engagement at the Lyric theatre, Third Street to-morrow afternoon. Friday and Saturday's picture programme follows; "Fortune's Pet," two reel feature, "American Eclair," "A Double Sacrifice,: "Nestor the Boob," Rex, "Animated Weekly No. 67" Universal.

August 27 To-night'sTo-night's picture program at the Lyric is1s as follows: "The Secret of Padre Antonio," Frontier; "An Expensive Drink," Crystal. Animated Weekly Number 70, Universal, and the two-reel special feature, "For the Man She Loved," Eclair Vaudeville. "Jack Aitkin," in a comedy act entitles "The Census Taker." Friday and Saturday afternoon and evening, "The Angel of Death," Imp. "Aladdin's Awakening," Nestor. "A Story of the Mexican Border," Frontier, and the two-reel special feature, "When the Light Came Back," Eclair Vaudeville. "C.W. Littlefield," Littlefield," Mimic.

September 24 The program at the Lyric to-night includes "Chester Kingston," a clever novelty contortionist, with the regular five reels of moving pictures. "Carl Wallner," in a singing, talking and whistling act is billed for the last half of the week. As a special feature Saturday afternoon and evening two vaudeville acts have been engaged, "Conaris & Cleo," comedy magicians being added to the regular programme. Their act is a sure hit.

October 11 "Gladys Vance," the character singing comedienne now playing at the Lyric Theatre, is making quite a hit. "Katherine Klare," billed as the "Irish"Ivish Thrush," is booked for the last half of the week. Her act is exceptionally good and sure to please.

October 8 "Frederick Elmore," magical monologist, now playing at the Lyric Theatre, Third Street, closes his engagement to-night. "Billie Cobire," singing comedienne, is1s booked for Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons and evenings. The usual program of five reels of moving pictures will complete the bill.

October 1515 "Jack Connolly," comedian finished his engagement at the Lyric last night. Baker and Herbert, and the comedy trick dog are booked for the last three days of the week. They do a comedy musical act and are sure to please the Lyric patrons.

October 29 Dike Thomas, colored comedian, now playing at the Lyric, closes his engagement toto-night.-night. Thursday brings the usual change of vaudeville and two extra acts in addition, making three vaudeville acts for Thursday afternoon and evening with the usual five reels of interesting moving pictures.

November 26 Eddie Paul, musical comedian, now paying at the Lyric, has more than made good with the Lyric patrons the past two days. He ends his engagement to-night. Rose Kessler, a dancing, singing comedienne will be the vaudeville attraction for the last half of the week to be strengthened Saturday afternoon and evening by two extra acts, McAvoy and Brooks, an extra good comedy, singing and talking act and Max Holden, comedy shadowgraphshadowgraph’ 1 artist. The usual five reels of moving pictures in addition to the three vaudeville acts will complete the program.

December 1010 Lily Gaston, novelty dancer, now playing at the Lyric, closes her engagement to- night. Fuentes is an exceptional musical act is booked for the last half of the week. The usual five reels of motion pictures complete the program.

December 1717 Reine, female impersonator, now playing at the Lyric,has has been keeping the audiences guessing until the end of his act at every performance. His impersonations are far above the average. To-morrow brings the usual change of Vaudeville.

JanuaryJanuary 77, , 11914914 "Gordine." Comedy trickster, now playing at the Lyric theatre, has been pleasing the Lyric audiences at every performance. He closes his engagement to-night, to be followed to the last half of the week by "Margaret Clayton," singing cartoonist. Miss Clayton's act comes well recommended. JanuaryJanuary 1414 "The Musical Stuart'"Stuart" is a high class musical act, is1s the vaudeville attraction at the Lyric theatre this evening. Mike Fay, doing a singing, talking and dancing stunt begins a three days' engagement toto-morrow.-morrow.

February 4 To-nightTo-night Mile. Faustina gives her last performance of singing and dancing at the Lyric. Thursday, Esme Gordon, a character change artist, begins a three days'days’ engagement. The usual five reels of interesting moving pictures changed Monday, Wednesday and Friday, continue to please.

March 4 Next Saturday afternoon and evening will be another big day at the Lyric, as two three reel special feature pictures, Maurice Maeterlinck's version of "Mary Magdalene" in three parts and "Under Suspicion," a thrilling sentimental drama in three parts, will be shown in1n addition to the vaudeville.

April 8 "Kendall's Auto girl,"gil," the original animated doll, will complete a three days'days’ en- gagement at the Lyric to-night. To saythat that her act "made good" is putting it lightly, as she won the Lyric audience at her first performance. Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoon and evening, Nola Rignold, English comedienne, will be the vaudeville attraction.

April 1515 "The Redemption of David Corson," a four reel feature picture, will be shown at the Lyric, Friday, May 1st,Ist, afternoon and evening, for one day only. This picturewas was taken in Greenfield and Deerfield by the Famous Players Company, in March and includes a great number of Greenfield people in addition to several scenes familiar to all.

May 20 Will Hebert, singing, talking and dancing comedian, finishes his engagement at the Lyric to-night. Mr. Hebert was formerly a Turners Falls boy and during his visit here hhasas renewed many old acquaintances. To-morrow, Marie Landis, an exceptional male impersonator will begin a three days' engagement. It will be remembered that Miss Landis appeared at the Lyric some time ago as a partner to Mr. Hebert, and her work then was very well received. Her single act offers a much better opportunity to display her talent, which no doubt will more than please the Lyric patrons.

May 27 The management of the Lyric theatre offer the thrillingthrillmg dramatic success, "The Squaw Man," in six parts with Dustin Farnum in the leading role. This wonderful picture will be shown on Thursday, JuneJune 4th, afternoon and evening. The change of vaudeville at the Lyric to-morrow will bring "Al Edwards," a musical comedian of note.

JulyJuly 8 Louis Provost, a former Turners Falls boy, who played at the Lyric theatre last week, was presented by his friends and admirers with a Knights of Columbus watch charm at the theatre last Wednesday evening. Albert Mainguey made the presentation speech.

Mr. Provost is the originator of the upside dancing act and has presented it inm theatres all over this country imimprovingproving the act from time to time. He plans to go abroad the coming year, putting on the act in large cities on the continent. Mr. Provost has made a "hit" since he entered vaudeville and his friends here take a keen interest in his career.

JulyJuly 22 Floretta Clark, the dainty dancer, closes her engagement at the Lyrictonight. tonight. Her place will be taken the last o£ the week by Jimmie Jimmie Green, Englishcharacter character comedian. Friday and Saturday the following will be the picture programme: "Pat Casey's Case," Essaney comedy; "His Last Call," Vitagraph drama; "The Switchman's Mistake, Cines two reel special feature; and the Biograph split comedy reel, "Romeo and Juliet"Juliet" and "Percy the Lady Killer.Kuller.

JulyJuly 29 Lew Grace, doing a talking and soft shoe dancing specialty, finishes his enengagementgagement at the Lyric toto-night.-night. The last half of the week Alice Farrell, singing,smging, dancing and violin playing, will be the vaudeville attraction. Saturday afternoon and evening, for one day only, the six reel masterpiece, "The Ruby of Destiny," will be shown.

August 1212 Musical Craig in a novelty instrumental act is booked for the last half of the week at the Lyric. Friday and Saturday's picture program is "Fable of the Brash Drummer and the Nectarine," Essanay; "A Jonah,"Jonah," Bio.; "Hunger Knows No Law," Vita.; and the Kalem two reel special feature picture, "The Treasure Ship."

September 2 Robert Willis, equilibrist, now playing at the Lyric,has has been pleasing large crowds at every performance. He closes his engagement toto-night,-night, to be followed the last half of the week by LillianLilhan Ashton, an English entertainer of merit.

September 1616 The management of the Lyric theater take great pleasure in announcing as the attraction for next Monday afternoon and evening the highest salaried star that has ever appeared in moving pictures, Mary Pickford, in "Tess of the Storm Country" in five reels. "Tess of the Storm Country" is considered by many to be the best picture that "Little Mary" has yet appeared.

September 23 "The Musical Seeley," novelty musician, closes his engagement at the Lyric theatre toto-night,-night, to be followed by Anita Gipsy violin is and the usual change of pictures Friday and Sunday.

September 30 Pearl Dayton, now doing a singing and talking act at the Lyric theatre, will close her engagement to-night. Alice LaMont, the musical surprise girl, will be the vaudeville attraction for the last half of this week. Friday will be another special feature day with two special feature pictures of three reels each.

October 7 Beginning next week the Lyric theatre will offer in serialserial form two of the most talked of serialserial photoplays before the pub lie, "The Trey O' Hearts" and "Lucille LovLove."e." Next Monday and Tuesday afternoon and evening the first installment of "The Trey O' Hearts," entitled "The Sunset Tide," in two reels will be shown One installment of two reels will be shown eveveryery Monday and Tuesday afternoon and evening until the story is finished Wednesday and Thursday will be "Lucille LovLove":e": days at the Lyric. Those who follow the story to the end will find each succeeding installment more interesting than the preceding one.

Next Monday and Tuesday the seventh story of "The Trey O' Hearts" will be the feature. To- morrow brings the usual change of vaudeville.

November 25 The seventh installment of the serial drama, "Lucille Love, The GirlGurl of Mystery," will be shown at the Lyric today and to-morrow. The Musical Jewell,Jewell, in a novelty musical act, begins a three days'days’ engagement to-morrow. Next Monday and Tuesday the eighth story of "The Trey O' Hearts" will be given.

December 9 Jack Jack Morley, "The Huckleberry Nut," in a a singing, talking and dancing act, is booked for the last half of the week at the Lyric. Another episode of the "Trey O' Hearts" will be offered next Monday and Tuesday, afternoon and evening. The "Trey O' Hearts" improves with each succeeding installment and is so interesting that many of the Lyric patrons can hardly wait for the next one.

December 23 Mazie Hobbs, character comedienne, now playing at the Lyric, closes her en- gagement to-night. Her place will be taken by Harry Stanley in comedy songs and talk, for the last half of the week. The usual holiday matinees will be given Christmas day, one at 2.15, and the other at 3.45, and the usual evening performances at 7.15 and 8.45. The holiday program includes the two reel special feature picture, "Tempest and Sunshine." Next Monday and Tuesday episode No. 1212 of the "Trey O' Hearts," will be shown.

December 30 The vaudeville attraction for the last half of this week at the Lyric will be "Harry Montgomery," an up-to-dateup-to-date singing and talking comedian of note. The 11th11th installment of the serial photoplay, "Lucille Love," will be shown to-day and to-morrow. Next Monday and Tuesday the 12th12th episode of the "Trey O' Hearts" will be the feature of the moving picture program. As the "Trey O' Hearts" began to draw to a close the management of the Lyric started an investigation of the various serial photoplays on the market to decide on one to follow the "Trey O' Hearts," and selected the "Master Key" as the one most likely to please the Lyric patrons. The "Master Key" is a thrilling story of mystery and romance. The scene is laid in the wewest,st, showing the workings of a gold mine of great wealth and the title roles are by Ella Hall and Robert Leonard. Taken all together the producers of the "Master Key" have the greatest-material to work with that has ever been offered in any serial photoplaphotoplay.y.

JanuaryJanuary 66, , 11915915 To-nightTo-night will be the last opportunity to see Kate Fitzgibbon, "The Girl From Limerick," at the Lyric. Thomas Dalton in a novel comedy act entitled "The Editor of the Daffydill News," will be the vaudeville attraction for the last half of the week. The 13th13th installment of "Lucille Love" will be the moving picture feature for to-day and to-morrow. Next Monday and Tuesday, afternoon and evening, the 14th14th episode of "The Trey O' Hearts" will be shown. The most dangerous scenes ever attempted ini motion pictures are crowded one after another in the closing chapters of "The Trey O' Hearts" and numerous mishaps occurred to the actors during the production of the 14th14th episode.

JanuaryJanuary 1313 "Jonathan," the cartooning comedian, will he the vaudeville attraction at the Lyric for the last half of the week. Next Monday and Tuesday afternoon and evening the final installment of "The Trey O'O' Hearts" will be shown. This last installment is in three reels and they are saidsaid to contain enough thrills for six ordinary reels. Next Wednesday and Thursday afternoon and evening the last installment of "Lucille Love" will be the attraction. As a special attraction next Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon and evening, Chief Half Moon and Chief Yellow Bird and their big Wild West Vaudeville Company will appear.

JanuaryJanuary 20 Chief Half Moon and Chief Yellow Bird will finish their engagement at the Lyric to- night. The vaudeville attraction at the Lyric for the last half of the week will be Hugh Connolly, a singing and dancing comedian. The last installment of "Lucille Love" will be shown to-night, the first chapter of the new photoplay, "The Master Key," will be shown next Monday and Tuesday afternoon and evening and one chapter in two reels will be shown [every[every Monday and Tuesday until the story is complete.

March 3 Flo Whitman is1s doing 1010 minutes of singing and dancing at the Lyric the first half of this week that has more — than pleased the patrons. The vaudeville atattractiontraction for the last half will be Victor, the novelty ventriloquist. His work, which is out of the ordinary, will without doubt make a hit. The five reel special feature picture, "The Nightingale,"Nightingale,” with Ethel Barrymore will be shown this evening for the last time. The seventh episode of "The Master Key" will be shown next and Tuesday afternoon and evening.

March 1717 JacobJacob P. Adler in the five reel special featurepicture picture "Michael Strogoff" will be shown at the Lyric to-night. The picture tells a stirring tale of romance and adventure. "Harry Sydell" in a singing and talking act entitled "The JoyJoy Germ" will begin a three days engagement tomorrow. The two reel feature picture 'The"The Mystery of the Throneroom' Throneroom" featuring Grace Canard and of "Lucille Love" fame will be shown Friday and Saturday afternoon and evening:

March 24 The two reel feature picture, "A Woman's Debt," with Cleo Madison, leading woman in "The Trey O' Hearts" serial, will be shown at the Lyric to-night and to-morrow afternoon and evening. Barney First, singing, talking and dancing comedian, is1s booked for the last half of the week. The picture program for Friday and Saturday is as follows: "A Page From Life," Rex; "A Girl of the Pines," "Animated Weekly No. 155,"155," and "Thou Shalt Not Flirt." Episode No. 1010 of "The Master Key" will be the feature of the program for next Monday and Tuesday.

April 1414 The management of the Lyric have secured for a two days showing a a single reel picture of JessJess Willard, heavyweight champion of the world. The picture, which is the only one showing Willard in action, will be shown to-day and tomorrow and is1s interesting to the ladies also as a very interesting story is woven through it. Hazel Gilmore, a dainty singing and dancing artist, is booked for the last half of the week.

April 21 Dorothy Curtis, the musical mimic, will complete her engagement at the Lyric to- ninight,ght, to be followed the last half of the week by JackJack Burdette, comedy singing and talking cartoonist. The following picture program will be shown Friday and Saturday: "His Guardian Angel," featuringfeaturimg Mary Fuller; "The Sight of the Blind," "Animated Weekly NoNo. . 159,"159," and the funny comedy, "The Death of Simon La Gree." The 14th14th episode of the "Master Key" will be shown next Monday and Tuesday. "The Black Box," a new serial photoplay, has been booked to follow "The Master Key." "The Black Box" is a story of mymysterystery that gives more real excitement than any of the previous serials shown in Turners Falls and is without a doubt the best one yet produced.

May 1212 Gertie DeMilt, in a singingsmging and hard shoe dancing act is1s booked for the last three days of the week at the Lyric.Lync. "The Last Volunteer," an intensely human patriotic drama, will be shown to-morrow afternoon and evening only. The programme for Friday and Saturday includes the following pictures: "Valor's Reward," featuringfeaturmg Geo. Larkin who played the leading role in "The Trey O' Hearts;" "The Golden Spider," with Mary Fuller; "The Animated Weekly, No. 162,"162," and the Victor comedy, "Rooms for Rent." The second episode of "The Black Box," entitled "The Hidden Hands," will be the feature of the programme next Monday and Tuesday.

May 26 Zobino, novelty equilibrist, will close a pleasant engagement at the Lyric tonight. His place on the bill will be taken the last half of the week by Helen Bannon, a dainty singing and dancing comedienne. Friday and Saturday's picture program will be as follows: "Diana of Eagle Mountains,''Mountains," with Cleo Madison; "The Rustle of a Skirt," featuringfeaturmg Mary Fuller and Matt Moore; "The Animated Weekly" and "How Doctor Cupid Won." The fourth episode of "The Black Box" will be the feature of next Monday's and Tuesday's programme.

JuneJune 2 Jack Jack Wallace and White Eagle, the human bird, is booked for the last three days of the week at the Lyric. As a special added attraction for Thursday and Friday only, the Southern Follies musical comedy company of 14 14 people will offer a one hour musical comedy. The program for Friday will be entirely different from that given Thursday. Saturday's program will include: "Playing with Fire," "Life's Furrow," - "The Water Cure," and the Animated Weekly No. 165.165.

Miss Suratt's gowns have made millions gasp by their beauty and daring as well as by their dazzling design. In all in this play she wears 150150 gowns, some daringly and uniquely simple, others that are calculated to make the feminine spectators break into astonished exclamations. It is1s estimated that in this picture, Miss Suratt changes her garments with every forty feet of film.

February 9 The much heralded William Fox production of "Carmen," featuring the most talked of woman in pictures, Theda Bara, will be shown Friday and Saturday afternoon and evening. In producing "Carmen," William Fox employed every known means to the moving picture producers to make it the most notable of photoplay achievements and nearly one year's time was taken to complete it. No extra charge will be made for "Carmen," although the rule has been advanced prices wherever shown. "Graft," the new series serial in sixteen episodes, will be shown every Monday and Tuesday, beginning next week. Each episode of "Graft" is1s complete in itself and each story was suggested by a different author. "Slytohan," in an out of the ordinary novelty mystery act, will begin a three days' engagement to-morrow. February 1616 The performances at the Lyric theatre yesterday were for the benefit of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the German-American Alliance. The proceeds will go for the relief work of the widows and orphansorphans—sufferers—sufferers in the great war. The ladies sold tickets for the performances and also collected by subscription a large amount of money for their war relief fund.

Shea, the manager of the Opera House theatre, has bought the Lyric theatre on Third Street from Lawler Brothers of Greenfield "and will conduct it in the future, as well as retain the management of the Opera House theatre. The Lyric is1s closed this week, while necessary repairs are being mmade.ade. The Lyric is Turners Falls first and oldest moving picture theatre and has been successfully run by Lawler Bros, for the past six years or so.
