These new lugs hook onto bolts that at the shell’s nodal are attached to the shell, which allows the lug point. casings themselves to "float" eliminating any direct contact between the lug and the shell. As this design reduces the amount of hardware actually attached to the drum shell, the shell is allowed to vibrate freely. On an 11-inch shell the lug bolts, as well as the YESS mounting system, are all attached to the shell at its nodal point to greatly minimize influence on shell resonance to deliver maximum tone. Another benefit these lugs provide is when it comes time to change the head, it is no longer necessary to remove the tuning bolts from the lugs to remove the hoop. Just loosen the bolts enough to slide the lugs off of the bolts and the hoop comes right off. No more lost washers, etc. and head changes can be done quicker and easier than before. * Nodal point mounting is patented by the Nobel & Cooley Drum Company. Nylon Ring * Beside the Absolute Nouveau Lugs, the Absolute lugs that were offered on O Ring earlier models are also available.

November 18, 2013, Issue 372 Inside This Year’s CMA Awards Our annual check-in with CMA Awards Exec. Producer Robert Deaton offers insight into the show’s most interesting segments, including a personal moment that was a late-breaking surprise. CA: The awards got good reviews from radio and good ratings from viewers. Are you equally positive? RD: I feel really good about the show. It was an important year for us with a new set, graphic package and whole new look. We did a lot of new things this year the viewer may not even perceive, but affect the overall quality of the show. Like what? We have such great hosts in Brad and Carrie, I wanted them to be more involved. Instead of just popping out and introducing a performance, I wanted it to feel like they Robert Deaton were guiding us through the night. So we only Golden Corral: Country radio pros and RCA staffers take in used our host position two times throughout Jake Owen’s “Days Of Gold Weekend” from a hotel rooftop the show. Owen previewed his new album Days Of Gold and shared the where you can see the scale of the event. We also had them go stories behind the songs. He even performed a few favorites onstage after a performance and throw to the bumper. They did from his club years, covering everyone from Conway Twitty live bumpers, and normally we’ve done pre-packaged.
