Born and raised in Manchester, Fury weighed just 1lb at birth after being born three months premature. His father John named him after Mike Tyson. From Irish traveller heritage, the“Gypsy King” is undefeated in 28 professional fights, winning 27 with 19 knockouts, and drawing once. His most famous victory came in 2015, when he stunned longtime champion Wladimir Klitschko to win the WBA, IBF and WBO world heavyweight titles. He was forced to vacate the belts because of issues with drugs, alcohol and mental health, and did not fight again for more than two years. Most thought he was done with boxing forever. Until an amazing comeback fight with Deontay Wilder in December 2018. It was an instant classic, ending in a split decision tie. Outside of the ring, Tyson Fury is a mental health ambassador. He donated his million dollar purse from the Deontay Wilder fight to the homeless. This book is dedicated to the cause of mental health awareness.

1 Photo: Alex Hurst REDUX This Redux box set is on the 30 Hertz Records label, which I started in 1997. Many of the tracks on this box set originated on 30 Hertz. I did have a label in the early eighties called Lago, on which I released some of my first solo records. These were re-released on 30 Hertz Records in the early noughties. 30 Hertz Records was formed in order to give me a refuge away from the vagaries of corporate record companies. It was one of the wisest things I have ever done. It meant that, within reason, I could commission myself to make whatever sort of record took my fancy. For a prolific artist such as myself, it was a perfect situation. No major record company would have allowed me to have released as many albums as I have. At the time I formed the label, it was still a very rigid business; you released one album every few years and ‘toured it’ in the hope that it became a blockbuster. On the other hand, my attitude was more similar to most painters or other visual artists. I always have one or two records on the go in the same way they always have one or two paintings in progress. My feeling has always been to let the music come, document it by releasing it then let the world catch up in its own time. Hopefully, my new partnership with Cherry Red means that Redux signifies a new beginning as well as documenting the past.

What Kind Of Fool artist:All About Eve , writer:Tim Bricheno, Andy Cousin, Julianne Regan Thanks to Mark Coburn Can't see the wood for all of the trees Can't hear the wind for the breeze that whispers Voice in your head... you like what it said So what can you do but listen to it? What kind of fool Lays all that's precious to waste? What kind of fool Leaves all their treasure to rust in the rain? They'll need it again when the sky clears What kind of fool Won't discover the jewel 'Til the dust clears ? Fools like us... Fools who want more than they've treasured be-fore Wanting the dawn of the brightest morning Reach for the stars 'cause they're sweeter by far Than the moon 'though she's brighter And closer to you... What kind of fool Lays all that's precious to waste? What kind of fool Leaves all their treasure to rust in the rain? They'll need it again when the sky clears What kind of fool Won't discover the jewel 'Til the dust clears ? Fools like us... Can't see the wood for all of the trees Can't hear the wind for the breeze that whispers Reach for the stars 'cause they're sweeter by far Than the moon 'though she's brighter And closer to you... RECORDS O THE YEAR THE MICK 54 As the year was a write-off for writing, which was distinctly off, it’s nice to end the year with two quick issues of the magazine, covering Xmas and now all the reviews I have done. There have been some truly great records by new and old artists alike, and I hereby commend them to the House. Next year we should be back to normal, with regular issues, which is a relief for me as I have missed it. I doubt you have but will earn back your enthusiasm. A Happy New Yearto you all. I go now.
