Long-Standing Board Members Stepping Down

on Bannerman, VP of Finance and Operations, Schools of the Sacred R Heart After a career in the Silicon Valley private sector, Mr. Bannerman moved to non-profit management. His private school business manager experience began at Brandeis in San Francisco, followed by Schools of the Sacred Heart - San Francisco, and recently joining Saint Andrews Episcopal School in Saratoga. Since joining the Board in 2008, Ron has co-chaired the Programs Committee and been a member of the Stats Committee. Ron remarked on his Cal-ISBOA Board experience, “The commraderie of the Association membership, highlighted by the close relationships with fellow Board members, gave new meaning to the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”

Sue devoted six years to the Cal-ISBOA Board as Secretary, serving on a variety of commitees: Finance, Healthcare Task Force, Governance, and also served on the CISBT Board. Sue is proud of the growth of Cal-ISBOA over the past 6 years (membership doubled in size, going state-wide), professionalism of the organization (Executive Director, larger, more strategic Board) and launching of the Health Care Trust.

teve Kierman, Director of Finance, Windward School SMr. Kierman has been Windward’s Director of Finance and Operations since 1995. Steve served on the Steering Committee of the Southern California Independent School Business Officers Association, (SCISBOA) since 1997. In 2011, when SCISBOA and ISBOA came together, Steve was elected to the Board of Directors for the newly formed, California Independent Schools Business Officers Association (Cal-ISBOA). Steve has also been a member of the National Business Officers Association (NBOA) since 1999 and in 2012 was elected to its Board of Directors. Mr. Kierman has served on several committees during his tenure with SCISBOA and Cal-ISBOA. These include Membership, Programs, Statewide Annual Meetings and most recently, Chair of the Governance Committee. While on the NBOA Board, Steve served on the Association Relations Committee, the Governance Committee and Chaired the Awards Committee.
