Hicks Professor of Otolaryngology and Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs in the Department of Otolaryngology, and Associate Scientist at the Gregory Fleming James Cystic Fibrosis Research Center, University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he leads a multi-disciplinary minimally invasive skull base program. Dr. Woodworth received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed an otolaryngology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by a Rhinology and Sinus Surgery Fellowship and Rhinology Research Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Woodworth is a NIH funded researcher investigating therapeutic interventions that enhance mucociliary clearance in both cystic fibrosis and non-cystic fibrosis chronic rhinosinusitis. His research on cerebrospinal fluid leak/skull base defect repair is internationally recognized and he has published 160+ journal articles, 30 book chapters, and two rhinology textbooks related to sinus and skull base disorders. (The current limit is 35 mph.) The change, which will go into effect in the near future, also includes a special 15 mph zone on Greenfield Drive and on Upper Road for children going to and from school. Signs will be flagged to alert motorists to the lowered limit. The lowered speed limit will also make the area safer for pedestrians crossing Greenfield Drive and Upper Road for activities taking place at Ebben Field. Kohler Police Chief Bill Rutten said the Kohler Police Department knows there will need to be some transition time, and will give warnings when appropriate. This article contin- ues with Question 27, which begins a new section on natural resources, followed by questions on economic development. Residents who wish to see complete, detailed survey results can obtain a copy of the tabulated survey from the Village Clerk’s office. Question 27 asked Is protection of woodlands, wetlands, and open spaces important? An overwhelming 86 percent of respondents answered “Yes.” When asked to identify priority areas for protection, many respondents mentioned the existing parks, the Arboretum, River Wildlife, and related areas. The next question was similar, but focused on “man-made” resources. Identify any cultural and historical resources in the Village of Kohler that are worthy of protection. Typical responses included the Waelderhaus, the American Club, the older homes in the Village, the band shell and Ravine Park, among others.
