Nawab Shah Alam Khan, Founder Chairman Nawab Shah Alam Khan, former Chairman of A.P. State Financial Corporation, Member of the Board of Management and Academic Senate of Osmania University and Member of the Academic Council of Aligarh Muslim University, had been instrumental in the growth and success of Answa-ul-Uloom. Throgh tact, foresight and understanding, he transformed the decaying institution under the aegis of Anwar-ul-uloom Educational Association into an institute of higher repute, result and reliability. And the results, over a period of three decades vindicated his acumen, direction, planning and execution. He achieved success by creating an academic ambience which added zest, interest and verve to the college life. Simultaneously, he undertook a series of administrative and academic reforms which allowed education to get vitality and relevance in the college. He introduced Post Graduate courses, including M.B.A., in the late eighties, in order to sync academics with professional demands in market. It was one more sign of Nawab Shah Alam Khan’s praiseworthy intellect and forward planning. Under Nawab Shah Alam Khan’s able guidance and leadership, the Anwar-ul-Uloom Education Association saw a sigificat growth and establishment of many specialized institutions like Anwar-ul-uloom College of Engineering and Technology at Vikarabad, Aizza College of Engineering & Technology at Mancherial, and Nawab Shah Alam Khan College of Engineering & Technology (under the aegis of Madrasa- i-Aizza) at Malakpet, Hyderabad. These institutions have been able to empower students from the minority community with a sound technical education and allowed them to seek a successful professional career. Nawab Shah Alam Khan sincerely looked forward to a time when institutions, under the umbrella of Anwar-ul-uloom educational Association, will set benchmarks in quality education and be recognized as institutions of international class and repute. Mahboob Alam Khan, Honorary Secretary Nawab Shah Alam Khan has been ably assisted by Mr. Mahboob Alam Khan in his endeavor to improve the educational standard of minority educational institutions. Mr. Mahboob Alam Khan has held many responsible positions and has dome a commendable job. He is the former Chairman of A.P Minorities Commission, Director of Hyderabad Deccan Cigarette Factory and Member of the Academic Council of Aligarh Muslim University. He was also made a Member of the High Power committee formed under the Ministry of Human Resources Development, by previous UPA government, to recommend policies on minority education. Mr. Mahboob Alam Khan is an educationist par excellence in his own right. He has been zealously working for empowerment of the minority community through need based education. A highly knowledgeable academician, he is well versed with the various legal aspects of the educational rights of minorities guaranteed under the constitution of India. He has always been in the forefront to fight for the safeguarding and implementation of educational right of the minorities. He has been actively involved in fighting the case of minority educational rights in Supreme Court. This sustained activism resulted in the landmark “TMA Pai” judgment by the supreme Court of India. Further, Mr. Mahboom Alam Khan, is the Honorary Secretary and Correspondent for the all the institutions functioning under the aegis of Anwar-ul-uloom Educational Association. He is also the Secretary of Madrasa-I-Aizza Educational Society which runs the Madrasa-i-Aizza, Neo School Aizza, Aizza College of Engineering and Technology and Nawab Shah Alam Khan College of Engineering and Technology. He is also the Secretary of Mumtaz Yarddowla Wakf which administers Schools, Degree College and Engineering College. Under his wise leadership, untiring efforts, passion and sharp intellect, these institutions have seen tremendous growth and are steadily gaining in quality and stature. The Genesis Nawab Shah Alam Khan College of Engineering and Technology was established in 2008 under the aegis of MADRAS-E-AIZZA. It was an educational society registered on 28th December 1961 under the Hyderabad Societies Registration Act No. 1 of 1350. Madrasa-e-Aizza was found in 1876 AD by Molvi Shaikh Ahmed Hussain Sahib and Nawab Rafi Yar Jung to impart liberal, scientific and professional education to Muslim children. Telugu medium classes sarted in 1955 and English classes were introduced in 1964. In 1987, Neo Sochool Aizza was established as an English medium school. The Visionary Management Under the patronage of Nawab Shah Alam Khan, Founder & Chairman and Mr. Mahboob Alam Khan, Honorary Secretary, NSAKCET is endowed with visionaries who are passionate about providing quality higher education to students belonging to minority community. These stalwarts, through their commitment, dynamism and foresight, have made remarkable community. They understands that education is an effective tool for economic growth of the community. Laboratories At NSAKCET we impart knowledge in scientific manner. We give equal importance to both theory and practice. Our laboratories for all the departments are well- equipped and state of art and in sync with the JNTU syllabus taught. There is provision to expand the facilities as per future requirements. We encourage the students to undertake a methodical approach to the collection and analysis of data through laboratory assignments apart from giving proper emphasis to appropriate presentation of the results. We provide one dedicated computer terminal for each student. Further, for individual attention, adequate numbers of computer programmers are appointed for laboratory class. Each discipline’s laboratory has sufficient number of equipment, test instruments and trainer kits, to limit up to two students for each working bench. The professors and lecturers insist on studying each experiment and answer the pre-lab questions in advance of the laboratory meeting in order to gain most from the laboratory experience. Each department makes a diligent effort to synchronize experiments with lecture topics taught though sometimes students are asked to perform experiments on topics that have not yet been completely explained. Therefore, we advice students to come well prepared for each lab session and honestly undertake pre-lab exercise. We also develop in the students an ability to ask relevant questions at the right time, perform procedures, collect and analyze data, answer question and explore new areas. NSAKCET has laboratories for English, Physics, Chemistry, Civil, Mechanical, EEE, ECE, CSE & IT departments, Such as Construction Engg, Environmental Engg, Geo- technical Engg, Hydro Systems, Materials Engg, Structural Engg, Surveying & Photogrammetry, Transportation Engg, Water Resources, Engg Workshop, Machine tools, Manufacturing Process, CAD/CAM, Thermal Engg, Metallurgy & Material science, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Control Sys, Power sys, Electrical circuits, Power Electronics, Electrical Machines 1-2, Electrical measurements, Basic Electrical simulation, EDC, MPMC, Analog Communication, D.C, ECAD, VLSI, C,DBMS, JAVA, MAD,OS,CO,WT, Data Structures C++ and LINUX, Android, Phython, R Programming Lab. Library Facilities Nawab Shah Alam Khan College of Engineering & Technology strives to provide the best facility in every aspect of college education. Being enlightened educationists, the management realizes the importance of a well-stocked library in the enhancement of education and inculcation of scientific research and development temper. The college’s central library stacks more than 25,000 volumes covering various engineering subjects, management basic sciences and general topics. Moreover, the library subscribes to more than 200 periodicals and has 189 bound volumes of these periodicals as well. The audio-visual educational program & video course are often carried out in the library. The library lends books to take home as well as have books which can be referred only at the library. Highspeed 100 Mbps dedicated bandwidth internet connection helps the students to browse national and international scientific e-journals, e- learning materials, digital library collections of this campus and other online reference materials. This facility is available via campus intranet. There is an automated software application which is an interactive and user friendly package. Students can access information through server and computers, one kept near the circulation counter and another at the entrance to access Online Public Access Catalogue(OPAC). DELNET and NPTEL membership helps us to deliver the e- content. Online Facility Through our website – www.nssakcet.ac.in – parents and students can log in and view monthly attendance, fee paid details and internal & external examination result & marks. Further, they can access latest information from JNTUH, SBTET & College authorities. Career Development, Finishing School & Placement Cell Nawab Shah Alam khan College was established in the year 2008 since then students have been serving in reputed companies in India and abroad. Training and Placement cell has been established to assist students and get them placed in reputed organizations before completion of their coursework / graduation. The Training and Placement cell is responsible for preparing the students to work in a corporate environment.
