    Dear Ms Roche Initial Proposals for New Parliamentary Constituency

    Dear Ms Roche Initial proposals for new Parliamentary constituency boundaries in the East Midlands I have read the Guide to the 2018 Review of Parliamentary Constituencies and associated documents on the Initial Proposals for New Constituency Boundaries in the East Midlands. As I understand it, part of what I think of as the Dronfield Community (essentially the catchment area of Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School) will be represented by an MP for Derbyshire Dales (Dronfield Woodhouse, Homesfield and Barlow), the rest of Dronfield including Gosforth Valley by an MP for Bolsover and Dronfield. Derbyshire Dales MP Bolsover & Dronfield MP It is clear from what I have read that these proposals are not yet set in stone and the Commission wants evidence of ‘how their proposals reflect or break local community ties’ from members of the public and other interested parties. The public consultation period extends to the 5th December and there are public hearings in Derby on 27th & 28th October 2016. As a parent of former pupils of the school I am sure parents may have views about this and I have taken the liberty of putting together this information sheet on where to find out more as it is the quickest way I can think of distributing this information in such a short timescale. The website to find out more is at: http://boundarycommissionforengland.independent.gov.uk/2018-review/ The document explains the purpose of the review: 1/2 I quote: ‘Parliamentary boundaries define the geographic area represented by each MP – their Parliamentary constituency. A Parliamentary boundary review examines the existing constituencies and makes recommendations for any changes that might be needed to make sure constituencies comply with legal requirements.

    Author: Bridget Gould Public Ext: 38579 Agenda Item No. 4(c) DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL MEETING OF CABINET MEMBER – HIGHWAY, TRANSPORT AND INFASTRUCTURE 10 October 2019 Report of the Executive Director – Economy, Transport and Environment OBJECTION TO THE (OLD WHITTINGTON LANE AND CHURCH STREET, UNSTONE) (PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES) ORDER 2019 (1) Purpose of Report To inform the Cabinet Member of an objection following the public advertisement and consultation on the Old Whittington Lane and Church Street, Unstone (Prohibition of Motor Vehicles) Order 2019 which is currently being progressed under the delegated powers of the Executive Director – Economy, Transport and Environment for Traffic Regulation Orders. (2) Information and Analysis Background In December 2018, following extensive consultation and public engagement events, approval was given to the shared use cycle path along the B6057 between Dronfield and Unstone, which included the County Council advertising any Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) to facilitate its implementation. The Cabinet Member requested to see any representations made as a result of any advertised TROs. As part of the construction of the proposed cycle path, it will be necessary to prohibit motor vehicles from entering Church Street and Old Whittington Lane from the B6057 in order to construct a continual cycle path across these access roads. In order to achieve this, it was necessary to advertise a TRO to prohibit motor vehicles. This was advertised on street and in the Derbyshire Times from 6 June 2019 to 28 June 2019 and received one objection, from Unstone Parish Council The objection reads as follows: “The council objects to the proposed closure of both roads as the closure will create a disproportionate amount of traffic on neighbouring roads, especially on Crow Lane at school drop off and pick up times.

    North East Derbyshire District Council ASHOVER NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN SUBMISSION OF NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN PROPOSAL Ashover Parish Council has submitted a Neighbourhood Plan proposal under the Town and Country Planning Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (reg. 15). The Ashover Neighbourhood Plan covers the whole of Ashover Parish. The Plan sets out a vision for the Parish and establishes the type of development needed to help sustain the community. If made, it will become part of the development plan for land use and development proposals within the Parish until 2033. Please title your response ‘Ashover Neighbourhood Plan’ and where possible refer to specific paragraphs or policies on which you are commenting. The Plan proposal has been submitted with a selection of documents and is supported by evidence used in the preparation of the Plan. These are available via the above web sites, and at the above locations. Following the consultation period the Plan will be examined by an independent Examiner, who will report to the District Council, following which they will decide what action to take and whether to go forward to ‘make’ the Neighbourhood Plan part of the development plan for the District.
