Drive SICILYTAORMINA to Pozzuoli and have a free time for lunch. After lunch we will begin following AGRIGENTO Paul from the ancient port of Puteoli, visiting the Rione Terra, Temple of Serapis, the temple of Augustus converted into a Christian cathedral, and the amphitheater. You will end the afternoon by walking along Paul’s path out POZZALLO SYRACUSE of the city towards Capua, passing ancient tombs and walking on part of the ancient road that still survives. Dinner and overnight in Pozzuoli. (B,D) MAY 5 Thu CAPUA - MINTURNAE - FORMIA - TERRACINA After breakfast and check-out, our bus will take us to ancient Capua (Santa Maria Capua Vetere) where Paul and his party joined the Via Appia. From there MALTA you will drive to Minturnae for a brief tour of the archeological site. After lunch we will continue along Paul’s route through the ancient towns of Formiae, Itri, and Fondi to Terracina where you will visit the ancient Forum Emilius. We will dinner and overnight at the ancient Forum of Appius (Borgo Faiti) where the LAND & AIR Christians from Rome came to meet Paul. (B,D) MAY 6 Fri APPIA ANTICA - ROME $5,990 Per Person in Double Room After breakfast at our hotel, we will follow the Via Appia north from the Forum $1,090 Single Room Supplement of Appius and Three Taverns. We will then continue through Ariccia to the outskirts of Rome where we will walk another stretch of the Appian Way as it approaches Rome. After lunch we will visit the Circus of Maxentius, the INCLUDING Catacombs of Domitilla and the church of Quo Vadis. Our bus will then take us past the sites where Paul would have been handed over to the Roman • Roundtrip International flights between any of the eight listed US cities authorities before checking into our hotel. Seppur più lento rispetto alle altre province laziali, è comunque emergente il progressivo invecchiamento della popolazione dovuto alla diminuzione del tasso di natalità e al contemporaneo aumento della sopravvivenza e speranza di vita. Dall’analisi degli indicatori di struttura della popolazione per zone altimetriche emerge che le classi d’età più giovani dai 15 ai 64 anni prevalgono in pianura e in collina. In montagna e nelle isole prevale la popolazione di età superiore ai 65 anni.Il territorio dell’Azienda Unità Sanitaria Locale di Latina è organizzato in 5 Distretti Sanitari. Il Distretto 1 si caratterizza per un territorio prevalentemente pianeggiante, una popolazione giovane e un’ elevata presenza di stranieri, che nel comune di Aprilia raggiunge l’11,2% della popolazione.

    Catacombs of Rome The Catacombs of Rome (Italian: Catacombe di Roma) are ancient catacombs, underground burial places under Rome, Italy, of which there are at least forty, some discovered only in recent decades. Though most famous for Christian burials, either in separate catacombs or mixed together, people of all the Roman religions are buried in them, beginning in the 2nd century AD,[1] mainly as a response to overcrowding and shortage of land. The Etruscans, like many other European peoples, used to bury their dead in underground chambers. The original Roman custom was cremation, after which the burnt remains were kept in a pot, ash-chest or urn, often in a columbarium. From about the 2nd century AD, inhumation (burial of unburnt remains) became more fashionable, in graves or sarcophagi, often elaborately carved, for those who could afford them. Christians also preferred burial to cremation because of their belief in bodily resurrection at the Second Coming. The Park of the Caffarella and Colli Albani (Rome Metro) are nearby. The Christian catacombs are extremely important for the art history of Early Christian art, as they contain the great majority of examples from before about 400 AD, in fresco and sculpture, as well as gold glass medallions (these, like most bodies, have been removed). The Jewish catacombs are similarly important for the study of Jewish culture at this period. E proprio su questo tema ci stiamo dotando di un piano generale di difesa dell’intero litorale laziale, redatto dall’Università di Roma Tre, che ci consentirà di estendere a tutto il Lazio il programma di lotta all’erosione. Adesso è il momento di raddoppiare i nostri sforzi. Con il Bando 2020-21 mettiamo in campo un nuovo piano da oltre 21 milioni di euro per 14 progetti in 15 comuni del litorale: nuove piste ciclabili, percorsi pedonali, sistemazione dei lungomare, valorizzazione di aree di pregio e parchi riqualificati.
