Working Experience 2020.03–present Data Scientist · TietoEVRY Consultant in department of AI and Automation.

Strategy on AI I created an internal framework for how to sell AI and machine learning based on the customer’s and capabilities.

Public Data Lake on Norwegian Data Team Lead and Data Scientist on a proof of concept for a public data lake on be- half of The Norwegian Digitalisation Agency (Digitaliseringsdirektoratet) and The Norwegian Agency for Public and Financial Management (DFØ). Experience besides leading the team, includes identification of relevant classifications, development ofal- gorithms for anonymization and tagging of data, and establishment of a hierarchical database model. Technologies include Databricks, AWS, Hue, Scala, Python, PyS- park and MySQL. EU has labeled the delivery as a success (see bit.ly/eusuccess).

Automated Archive with Machine Learning To automate the archiving process, Stavanger kommune needed an algorithm for pre- dicting five form fields in their archive. I developed an algorithm in TensorFlow Keras for predicting these five fields. Different algorithms were tested and selected using statistical sampling methods. The resulting algorithm was a multi-output multi-class neural network model. I also developed a python library for easy implementation of the algorithm in existing infrastructure.

Nominations and Awards 2016.10 Winner of the “Våg å vite” (“Dear to know”) prize The prize is awarded to high quality Master’s theses which challenge established thinking. I was nominated for my Master’s thesis “The Dynamics of a Green Tran- sition. An Agent-Based Analysis.” The prize is handed out by The Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Oslo, and includes a check for NOK 10,000. 2016.03 Nominee for the award “Norway’s ten greatest lecturers” The Norwegian newspaper Morgenbladet rated “Norway’s ten greatest lecturers.” I was nominated—and selected as one of the top 39 candidates—for my seminar tu- toring in a Bachelor’s level course in statistical analysis and research methodology (STV1020) at the Department of Political Science, University of Oslo.

Research 2016.01–present Participant in the DAAD project: “Credible Commitment to Long-Term Policy” DAAD mobility grant for researcher exchange between Norway and Germany, granted by The Research Council of Norway. The project aims to build a game-theoretic model of governments’ commitment to a costly long-term policy. The project includes two trips to Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research 2016 and 2017. The other participants are Jon Hovi, Detlef F. Sprinz, and Marco Islam.
