    NY CARLSBERG GLYPTOTEK MUSEUM World-famous Art Museum in Copenhagen boosts comfort performance with Case Study Honeywell Forge Digitized Maintenance* *Formerly Outcome Based Service (OBS) The Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek museum in Copenhagen houses over 10,000 works of art, primarily divided between ancient antiquities and Danish and French sculpture as well as painting from the 19th century, including works by Auguste Rodin, Toulouse-Lautrec, Manet, Monet, Renoir, Cezanne and Gauguin. BACKGROUND First opened to the public in 1897, the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek added two other wings in 1906 and 1996, connected by a domed Winter Garden. The museum is a cultural magnet, with music concerts, poetry readings, lectures and debates regularly taking place in its auditorium and the surrounding halls and galleries. PROJECT OVERVIEW With its core buildings constructed over a 100-year period starting in the 19th century, the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek wanted to take advantage of advanced technology and actionable insights to improve energy efficiency and to enhance the experience of staff and visitors. Creating the right environment was key to ensuring the performance of the museum and the preservation of its valuable contents.     Archaeology of Denmark and Sweden 23 – 30 September 2019 from £2295.00 The neighbouring Nordic nations of Sweden and Denmark offer a host of archaeological and historical sites, from Neolithic megaliths to Viking forts, from fairytale castles to a magnificent royal warship. We begin in Uppsala in Sweden, with visits to the archaeological sites at Gamla Uppsala and Anundshög and the baroque Skokloster Castle. In Stockholm we tour the excellent Historical Museum and visit the Vasa Museum, which houses the heavily armed and richly decorated royal warship which sank on its maiden voyage in 1628. A relaxing high-speed rail journey follows as we travel from Stockholm to Malmö in the south of Sweden. Here we tour the Osterlen region, with visits to the megalithic monuments known as Ales Stenar before crossing the Öresund Bridge to Copenhagen. We have a day touring the Danish capital, including the renaissance castle of Rosenborg Slot, then transfer to Aarhus in mainland Denmark. From here we visit the Moesgård Viking Museum and the Viking Castle at Fyrkat, learning much about the real story behind those notorious Norsemen. We also come face to face with some former inhabitants of the region as we visit Silkeborg Museum, home to the ‘bog bodies’, the amazingly well-preserved remains of a man and woman who died here around 350BC. Itinerary Monday 23 September 2019 We depart this morning on a direct flight from Manchester to Stockholm Arlanda in Sweden (provisional times with SAS: 0945/1345). On arrival we transfer by coach to Uppsala and a visit to the archaeological site at Gamla Uppsala.

Bygningen er 13 fag lang og fem fag bred og er opført af kridtsten, der er pudset og hvidkalkede, i tre etager over en høj kælder. Taget er et mansardtag af sorte vingetegl med rundbuede kviste i mansardetagen og mindre rundbuede kviste i tagfladerne. Der er tre kraftige skorstenspiber med spejle i skaftet i rygningen. Siderne fremtræder hvide over en høj sandstenssokkel. Den refendfugede stuetagen afsluttes af kordongesims. Facaden har midt- og siderisalitter inddelt af hvidkalkede ørelisener og rocailledekorationer af kridtsten. Vinduerne har forkrøppede Gavlen mod Sankt Annæ Plads. indfatninger og under taget er en kraftig, fremspringende gesims, der mod Bredgade er båret af kraftige konsoller. I midt- og siderisalitterne er der relieffer over beletagens vinduer afbildende instrumenter, redskaber, bøger mv. Midt i bygningen er en portgennemgang, der mod både gård og gade aflukkes med en ældre, tofløjet fyldingsport med rundbuet overvindue med sprosseværk og fremhævet slutsten, mod gården har porten ruder og sprosseværk i den øvre del samt vederlagsgesimser. Portrummet fremtræder med naturstensgulv og tøndehvælvet loft med stukarbejder. Fra portrummet er adgang til palæet samt til kældre via fire fyldingsdøre. Vinduerne er mestendels ældre og traditionelt udførte vinduer af korsposttypen med opsprossede ruder i stue- og beletagen samt torammede, seksrudede vinduer i kælder og anden etage.
