Joshua’s Long Day Sun miracles in the New Testament You can see in this zodiac from the Beth Alpha Synagogue below, 600 AD. There are many zodiacs in ancient Israel synagogues, that the fish of Pisces face both directions perhaps from Old Testament tradition. This may indicate the Israelites were familiar with earth flowing into a reverse orbit of the sun. Thus, for half a year or a year they would experience the zodiac progressing in reverse. This may have happened as often as every seven years. They would be very conscious this was connected to the sun miracles God performed for their benefit. You can see the chariot of the sun in the middle. The sun and chariot were not to be depicted in the synagogues of Israel. Beit Alpha.jpg Picture credit: HAPPINESS SURROUNDS YOU: The Stamp Booklet Guide to Happiness. p.197 Just before Augustus Caesar's death in August 19, 14 AD, also about when the High Priest Annas was replaced: "Thus, the sun suffered a total eclipse and most of the sky seemed to be on fire; glowing embers appeared to be falling from it and blood-red comets were seen." Dio Cassius, Book LVI p.67 The sun travelling near the speed of light because of time slowed by relativity the sun would appear red and dark = light shifted to the red end of the light spectrum, and the planets and comets would reflect this red light. Julius Caesar died on the Ides of March, the full moon when also was the Passover in Israel in 44 BC. 44 BC was 37 years before Jesus' birth in 7 BC. Thus, there may have been a sun miracle at that passover in 44 BC to point to Jesus' life of 38 years and his sacrifice in April 3, 33 AD. Thus, Jesus' birth 38 years later in 7 BC. Julius Caesar's wife Cornelia died in 68 BC. There could have been a sun miracle in 68 BC = 100 years before Jesus' sacrifice that was an omen preceding her death. October 6, 68 BC, Lucius Lucullus defeats Tigranes II of Armenia in the Battle of Artaxata. Wikipedia Tigranes' army panicked and fled. Perhaps there was an omen of a sun miracle for their panic. Similarily, the Spartans let the Persians of Xerxes escape because of the omen of a partial solar eclipse in Greece, September 12, 470 BC. "The August 1, 477 BC does not match exactly the conventional dates for the invasion accepted by historians." Wikipedia - solar eclipse The solar eclipse prediction of Thales of Miletus should be September 7, 591 BC, not May 28, 585 BC. September was the fifth month in 591 BC, not May. An eclipse recorded by Herodotus before Xerxes departed on this expedition that ended at the battle of Salamis cannot be 480 BC nor February 17, 478 BC. Jeremiah 1:3 "It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month." The fifth month was the captivity, September 7, 591 BC. The book of Esther may include a sun miracle 10 years more recent about, in the spring of 470 BC. There was a solar eclipse of March 20, 470 BC that covered a small part of the sun visible from Persia. Back one half orbit, 187 days, from this October 6 is April 1, 68 BC, the full moon and Passover. Thus, there may have been a sun miracle 100 years before Jesus' crucifixion, April 3, 33 AD. Coins from this time depict a star by Julius Caesar. Later the star was replaced by a comet. If the sun moved to the other side of earth at the passover in spring, then the bright star of Vega would appear overhead at midnight. The magnitude level of the sun and stars is supposed to start with Vega at zero magnitude. Thus, anything brighter is - negative magnitude and anything dimmer is + positive magnitude. The sun would normally be in Vega at spring. Thus, this star by Julius Caesar may be Vega. Annas became High Priest, in 6 AD, when Jesus was 12 years old: Born in September 12, 7 BC, Jesus would be 12 in 6 AD: Luke 2:42 "And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. 2:43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. 2:44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. 2:45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him. 2:48 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. 2:47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. 2:48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. 2:49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?" There was no solar eclipse visible then. If the sun was red, comets would appear red too. Or perhaps these blood red comets were phoenixes. The morning star may be the phoenix pulling the sun. The sudden and perhaps bright sunrise of Gideon may have been a type of the resurrection morning. Pilate is said to have wrote Caesar Tiberius. This letter was actually written according to Bible prophesy, not by Pilate. However, the pattern of sun miracles in the Bible most probably occurred in Jesus' lifetime: "And at the third hour of the night the sun appeared more luminous than it had ever shone, lighting up the whole hemisphere." This could begin a second half reverse orbit at Jesus' resurrection in the same way as for Gideon. There may have been a sun miracle to begin Jesus' ministry in Luke 4, August 28, 29 AD or September 9, 29 AD. In this 29 AD: "Emperor Guangwu of Han, 5th year of the Jianwu reign period. A guest star trespassed against YUZUO extremely closely." East Asian Archaeology, p.130. YUZUO is the imperial throne near the Big Dipper, near Arcturus and Virgo. A sun miracle at the start of the jubile, either August 28, 29 AD or September 9, 29 AD, would mean the Big Dipper when normally pointing down at midnight in summer would point up at midnight the following summer night. The handle of the Big Dipper points to Arcturus. Then Arcturus would pass over head at midnight in August/September. A sun miracle then would be seen as a threat to the imperial throne, an occasion for a revolution. Guangwu became emperor in 25 AD and from 27 AD to 36 AD - the period looked at here - he waged war with various warlords. Sun miracles often triggered revolution in China. So he would be sensitive to a sign from heaven that could cause rebellion against him that could overthrow his kingdom. Such as this one very nearly did. John 1:5 "And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe." John 1:26 "John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; 1:27 He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose. 1:28 These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing. 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." This would be at the time of the Passover in spring of 29 AD. The Pharisees may have come to John the Baptist on the Sabbath the first of Nissan, March 5, 29 AD. Then the Passover, Saturday, March 19, 29 AD. Then 187 days from the new moon March 7, 29 AD is half an orbit and is Yom Kippur, the jubile, September 9, 29 AD. (The captivity was September 7, 591 BC the seventh day of the seventh month) Then there may have been a sun miracle a year before, full 365 day orbit before, perhaps September 7, 28 AD on the first day of the seventh month. Jesus began to be about 30 or rather 35 years of age in Luke, probably September 17, 29 AD. Jesus may have been born on the 17th day of the 7th month = September 13, 7 BC. Then his birthday would be September 15, 29 AD the 17th day of the 7th month; when he began to be 35 years of age. Perhaps Rosh Hashanah August 28, 29 AD, or Yom Kippur Friday September 9, 29 AD, be the day Jesus read from Isaiah 61 to fulfill the beginning of the 50 year jubile. Then the Gospels start with Jesus when he began to be about 30, perhaps he began to be 35, after he was baptized, September 15, 29 AD = the date of Jesus' birth September 12, 7 BC.
