I’m hoping if enough of us phone 18 Cameron -- before 18 Cameron -- after (311) and request a pruning, it might happen. There must be additional money now with the requirement of a $50.00 permit to take down a large tree on private property. To be fair, when OSCAR Needs we prune and plant in the Fall, a city arborist works with us, and guides us, and this is much appreciated. There are vintage willows along the riverbank, too, but I Distribution in OOS fear they are beyond repair.

Tired of Poop Bags Dear Editor

don’t know how to start this letter but here goes. I would imagine that all of us (I hope) follow the poop and scoop rules when walking our I dogs. There are those who although they for the most part do abide by the practice, they however do not complete the process!! Maybe this applies to only one or perhaps two in old Ottawa South, but I wish very much these people would NOT just toss the bags on the sidewalk. There is someone who drops their bags in front of the Sunnyside Groceteria at the corner of Sunnyside and Seneca. Please stop this inconsiderate unhealthy and rude habit. Thanks

Trevor Ruthman (dog owner) Send your comments to [email protected] or drop them off at the Firehall, 260 Sunnyside Avenue.

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I will defend to the death, your right to say it. ....Voltaire DEC 2009 The OSCAR - OUR 37th YEAR Page 5

The show runs until January 16, 2010, and the Museum is well worth a visit to view the sculptures and paintings of Frederic Remington, as well as the historic building itself.
