1. QUICK GAME In Riding Star you can play a “Quick Game” independent of the career mode. Here you can ride a course from any discipline with a pre-select- ed horse and without undertaking training or care.

2. CAREER Start a new career, continue an existing career or play a tutorial.

3. OPTIONS Here you can adjust the display and sound settings and view the dia- gram of the Riding Star controls in more detail.

4. QUIT Exit the game and return to Windows.

5. YOUR CAREER

Build your career as a professional rider and train your horses in dres- sage, show jumping and cross country disciplines. Work your way up through tournament to tournament with your horses and, as the crown- ing achievement of your career, end up competing in the Aachen tour- nament, the Mount Olympus of equestrian sport! Besides training and tournaments, you must take meticulous care of your horses and look after them to enable you to progress together from victory to victory as a strong team. Each time you begin a new career, you must take these initial steps:

TOURNAMENTS AND TRAINING Care parameters The tournaments in Riding Star correspond to real tournament class- es in equestrian sport. Cleanliness: Indicates how clean and well looked after your horse is. Hunger: Indicates whether your horse needs some food. M: Medium class (moderately difficult) Health: Indicates whether your horse is in good physical health, H: Advanced class (difficult) if it is fit and resilient and if it feels well.
