By uniting veterans and civilians through festival volunteer opportunities, storytelling, onsite workshops, and more, these shared experiences and the healing power of music nurture connectedness within the EF community and beyond. • Feed Media Group Adds Insomniac's Iconic Electronic Music Catalog To
Feed Media Group Adds Insomniac’s Iconic Electronic Music Catalog to Adaptr Music Licensing Service for Startups March 23, 2021 (San Francisco, CA) – Feed Media Group (FMG), a music technology company helping businesses incorporate music to create more engaging experiences, has signed a deal with electronic music powerhouse Insomniac that will bring tracks from its distributed artists and labels to the Adaptr library for easy licensing by startups and up-and-coming apps. Adaptr subscribers can build a library of tracks from the service’s collection and make them available on- demand in their apps, greatly accelerating time to market by eliminating the need for direct licensing negotiations, all while ensuring rightsholders are paid for the use of their work. Tracks from Insomniac’s artists and labels will now join Adaptr’s growing catalog, which also includes music from Warner Music Group, BMG Records, Entertainment One (eOne), Equal Vision Records, Vio Mobile, and A-Train Distribution. “We’ve been huge fans of Insomniac events and their catalog is perfect for a lot of our startups, especially for dance apps and digital fitness,” said Bryn Boughton, Head of Platform and Licensing at FMG. “People used to hear their music in clubs and festivals and now they’re enjoying the same songs as they get fit. “ “Insomniac is all about innovation, which is why we decided to team up with Adaptr,” said Joe Wiseman, Director of Insomniac Music Group. “Not only are we doing our part to push music tech forward, we’re also giving our artists and labels a fresh route to discovery.” Insomniac got its start as an events company in the electronic music space, organizing the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas and around the world, as well as Beyond Wonderland, Nocturnal Wonderland, the Electric Forest Festival, Bassrush, Basscon, and Dreamstate.

  • Believing in the Beat the Religiosity of Electronic Dance Music
Believing in the Beat The Religiosity of Electronic Dance Music A Senior Thesis by Lauren Kathleen Gill Submitted to the Department of Religion, Haverford College Monday, April 22, 2013 Professor Travis Zadeh, Advisor ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS I would like to express my most sincere thanks to a number of people for both shaping and inspiring what has easily been my most fulfilling work during my time at Haverford. First, I would like to thank Professor Zadeh for offering his insight into my topic as well as his critical eye, so that I could transform my observations and knowledge into a cohesive senior thesis. I would also like to extend thanks to the entire Haverford College Religion department for presenting me with various means of approaching my topic, in addition to shaping how I have come to think about religion as a whole. I am also particularly grateful to the interviewees, who took time out of their busy schedules to so graciously open up about their experiences with electronic dance music. This project would not have been made possible without them. Additionally, I would like to thank my friends, who both exposed me to electronic dance music and accompanied me on my fieldwork. Finally, I wish to thank my family, who has supported me throughout this process, even if it meant listening to trance. 2 ABSTRACT Electronic dance music is a musical and cultural phenomenon that has seen a drastic increase in popularity over the past decade. As such, it has received nominal serious academic inquiry in regards to its heavily present religious features, which appear most prominently in electronic dance music’s live setting.
