Justification for laying OFC from Yamuna Nagar to Paonta on NH-73A Northern Telecom Project Circle O/o DGM Telecom Project, NCR New Delhi-110023 Earlier the Optical Fibre Cable was laid on same route in the year 1998 – 1999. The fresh cable need to be laid for providing reliable telecom services to the public as the existing cable has been badly damaged esp. due to road widening work etc. Proposal to lay the OF cable on this route was approved by BSNL Corporate Office, New Delhi after due recommendation by Circle Planning Board. The approval from NBW is required in view recent Hon’ble Supreme Court Of India guidelines as the route passes through Kalesar National Park (Declared reserved Forest). 48 Km Reserved Forest 37 Km HARISH KUMAR DETP AMBALA 5/13/2015 4 YAMUNANAGAR CHHACHHRAULI KHIJRABAD TAJEWALA BARRIER KALESAR MANDIR BTS LAL DHANG PAONTA SAHIB To provide better Telecom services (i.e Broad Band, Leased Lines, Telephone/ Mobile services etc.) to the public of Paonta Sahib ,Yamunanagar and all the en-route villages from Yamunanagar to Paonta Sahib. This OFC route will enhance the reliability of telecom services between National capital and three states i.e. Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand This project will be helpful for providing the connectivity from all nearby Village Panchayats to Block / Tehsil / District HQs. Under (NOFN) NATIONAL OPTICAL FIBRE NETWORK PROJECTS which is the most prestigious telecom project under taken by Government of India. Being the hilly terrains in the National Park area, the OF Cable will be laid on the Berm/ Slope of the road. .
