SkyEurope: 40% more passengers in December 2006. Strong load factor increase of 11.8 pp reaching 76.9%.

Bratislava, 5 January 2007 - SkyEurope , Central Europe’s leading low- cost low-fare , transported a total of 192,255 passengers in December 2006, an increase of 39.6% compared to the same month of last year. SkyEurope’s load factor active policy continues to show positive results leading to a seat load factor increase of +11.8 percentage points, reaching 76.9 %.

In the 12 months ended December 2006, the Company carried over 2.74 million passengers, an increase of 48.4% compared to the same period of last year. The load factor in the past 12 months increased by 0.7 percentage points and reached 77.5%.

(1) Represents the number of earned seats flown. Earned seats also include no-shows, tour sales and seats provided for promotional purposes and to staff for business travel. SkyEurope is a no-refund airline, and once a flight has departed a no-show customer is generally not entitled to change flights or seek a refund. (2) Represents the number of RPKs (revenue passenger kilometres) as a proportion of ASKs (available seat kilometres) to recognise the effect of varying flight (or "stage") lengths. Several milestones marked the month of December 2006:

SkyEurope announced on 19 December the opening of its fifth major base in . With begin of the summer season on 25 March 2007 the company will place two brand new Boeing 737-700 Next Generation aircraft at Vienna International Airport and will operate a network of 16 European routes in direct from Vienna. SkyEurope will foster its position as the leading low fare airline in the Vienna- catchment area and provide in total 27 destinations from Bratislava and Vienna.

SkyEurope further widened its summer season programme by opening the sales for several popular tourist destinations such as Athens, Catania, , Malaga, Palermo, Varna and .
