PerksCard® This is a discount card that retailers/corporations join to provide discounts to their customers. The PerksCard® is provided to all Alliance members as part of their union membership Members need to register their PerksCard® at www.perkscard.com PerksCard® provides benefits that are available locally either by showing your PerksCard® or by downloading a coupon from the PerksCard® website. Other discounts are available only through the website. 1 Chapter 1 Automobile Discounts Benefits in This Chapter …………………………………………………………………………………………… *Discounts when purchasing a new or used car *Discounts when renting a car *Towing/Service Calls *Service/Repairs discount *Car Wash *Auto Insurance *AAA *Motorcycles and RVs ……………………………………………………………………………………………… Automobile benefits are available for members for everything from buying a new car to getting your car washed or serviced. These benefits and others are outlined below. 1. Purchasing a New or Used Car *Union Plus Auto Buying Discount Includes purchases of new and used cars, RVs, boats, motorcycles, commercial, and agricultural vehicles. Through the program, Alliance members will receive pre-negotiated, best-market pricing on new or used vehicles (cars, trucks, commercial, agricultural, RVs, boats, motorcycles, etc.) without having to negotiate with the dealer. A personal Vehicle Advisor will assist members throughout the entire buying or leasing process, from selection to final delivery. Program Features Pre-negotiated fleet pricing on most new vehicles purchased or leased through the program, typically 2 to 3 percent over dealer invoice. Used vehicle pricing at 4 percent over the cost of the vehicle at auction plus dealer preparation. Assistance from the program’s Vehicle Advisors throughout the process. 2 How the Program Works Before visiting a dealer, please contact Vehicle Advantage at: www.vehicleadvantage.com or call 866-824-1133. When requested please refer to Group ID number RU-502. The program helps members save by using pre-negotiated fleet pricing for new and used vehicles at dealers across the country. Once the member submits a vehicle order form, the Vehicle Advisor assists the member in selecting a new or used vehicle and options. The Vehicle Advisor will then locate the vehicle at a dealer in the member’s area and negotiate a price based on fleet pricing for new vehicles and at near auction cost for used vehicles. The dealer signs a contract agreeing to the price and the Vehicle Advisor reports the pre-negotiated price to the member. Once the details are acceptable to the member, the Vehicle Advisor sets up a mutually agreeable delivery appointment between the member and the dealer. The member goes to the dealership and inspects and test drives the vehicle and the transaction and delivery is completed. If the member decides not to purchase that vehicle, they may start the process again with the Vehicle Advisor. While the program can provide an excellent value for a vast majority of members, it may not appear to provide the lowest price for those members who want to take the time to haggle from dealer to dealer. Also, some vehicles may be in such demand that they require premium pricing. However, even for buyers who make car buying a sport, the program can provide an excellent price point from which to start. *J.B. Byrider-Alliance Member Card (3024 Fremont St., 702-933-4400) Members receive $500 off the price of a car, free 18,000-mile or 18-month warranty, six months free oil changes *BONUS* Members also receive $200 for referring a customer who buys a car *Integrity Chrysler Jeep Dodge-PERKSCARD® (6770 Redwood St, 702-870-9793) All models priced at $500 over invoice or lower! Examples of online advertising include contextual ads on search engine results pages, banner ads, advertising networks and e-mail marketing, including e-mail spam. A major result of online advertising is information and content that is not limited by geography or time. The emerging area of interactive advertising presents fresh challenges for advertisers who have hitherto adopted an interruptive strategy. Online video directories for brands are a good example of interactive advertising. These directories complement television advertising and allow the viewer to view the commercials of a number of brands. If the advertiser has opted for a response feature, the viewer may then choose to visit the brand’s website, or interact with the advertiser through other touch points such as email, chat or phone. Response to brand communication is instantaneous, and conversion to business is very high. This is because in contrast to conventional forms of interruptive advertising, the viewer has actually chosen to see the commercial.

Taylor, a two-time Academy Award-winning actress who starred in more than 50 fi lms over a period of nearly 70 years, died at a hospital in Los Angeles of congestive heart failure. She was 79. “She was an extraordinary personality and it’s a wonderful feeling that we have a little part of her legacy right here on 14th Street, said gay D.C. Council member Jim Graham (D-Ward 1). Graham served as executive director of the Whitman-Walker Clinic in November 1993, when Taylor came to D.C. for a ceremony to dedi- cate the Clinic’s main building for patient services as the Elizabeth Taylor Medical Center.
