Different Body Parts' Fat Mass and Corrected QT Interval on The Yazdanpanah et al. BMC Cardiovasc Disord (2021) 21:277 https://doi.org/10.1186/s12872-021-02095-2 RESEARCH Open Access Diferent body parts’ fat mass and corrected QT interval on the electrocardiogram: The Fasa PERSIAN Cohort Study Mohammad Hosein Yazdanpanah1,2, Ehsan Bahramali3, Mohammad Mehdi Naghizadeh2, Mojtaba Farjam2*, Maryam Mobasheri1 and Shiva Dadvand1 Abstract Background: Previous studies suggested that obesity and fat mass are associated with QT interval prolongation, but the role of diferent body parts’ fat mass is unclear. The associations between total and regional fat mass (FM) and cor- rected QT interval (QTc) were investigated for the frst time in this study. Methods: In this sub-analysis of Fasa PERSIAN cohort Study data, 3217 subjects aged 35–70 entered our study. Body fat mass was assessed by bioelectrical impedance analysis and QTc interval calculated by the QT interval measured by Cardiax® software from ECGs and Bazett’s formula. Uni- and multi-variable linear and logistic regression was per- formed in IBM SPSS Statistics v23. Results: In males, the fat mass to fat-free mass (FM/FFM) ratio in the trunk, arms, total body, and legs were signif- cantly higher in the prolonged QTc group (QTc > 450 ms). Trunk (B 0.148), total (B 0.137), arms (B 0.124), legs (B 0.107) fat mass index (FMI) showed signifcant positive relationship= with continuous= QTc (P-value= < 0.001). Also, just= the fat-free mass index of legs had signifcant positive associations with QTc interval (P-value < 0.05). Surpris- ingly, in females, the mean of FM/FFM ratio in trunk and legs in the normal QTc group had higher values than the prolonged QTc group (QTc > 470 ms). Also, none of the body composition variables had a signifcant correlation with continuous QTc. Conclusion: Our study suggested that FMI ratios in the trunk, total body, arms, and legs were positively associated with QTc interval in males, respectively, from a higher to a lower beta-coefcient. Such associations were not seen in females. Our study implies that body fat mass may be an independent risk factor for higher QTc interval and, conse- quently, more cardiovascular events that should be investigated. download android os for phone Open Source Mobile OS Alternatives To Android. It’s no exaggeration to say that open source operating systems rule the world of mobile devices. Android is still an open-source project, after all. But, due to the bundle of proprietary software that comes along with Android on consumer devices, many people don’t consider it an open source operating system. So, what are the alternatives to Android? iOS? Maybe, but I am primarily interested in open-source alternatives to Android. I am going to list not one, not two, but several alternatives, Linux-based mobile OSes . Top Open Source alternatives to Android (and iOS) Let’s see what open source mobile operating systems are available. Just to mention, the list is not in any hierarchical or chronological order . 1. Plasma Mobile. A few years back, KDE announced its open source mobile OS, Plasma Mobile. Plasma Mobile is the mobile version of the desktop Plasma user interface, and aims to provide convergence for KDE users. It is being actively developed, and you can even find PinePhone running on Manjaro ARM while using KDE Plasma Mobile UI if you want to get your hands on a smartphone. 2. postmarketOS. PostmarketOS (pmOS for short) is a touch-optimized, pre-configured Alpine Linux with its own packages, which can be installed on smartphones. The idea is to enable a 10-year life cycle for smartphones. You probably already know that, after a few years, Android and iOS stop providing updates for older smartphones. At the same time, you can run Linux on older computers easily.

  • Therapeutic Effects of a Taurine-Magnesium Coordination Compound on Experimental Models of Type 2 Short QT Syndrome
Acta Pharmacologica Sinica (2018) 39: 382–392 © 2018 CPS and SIMM All rights reserved 1671-4083/18 www.nature.com/aps Article Therapeutic effects of a taurine-magnesium coordination compound on experimental models of type 2 short QT syndrome Meng-yao AN1, Kai SUN1, Yan LI1, Ying-ying PAN1, Yong-qiang YIN1, Yi KANG1, Tao SUN2, Hong WU1, Wei-zhen GAO1, Jian-shi LOU1, * 1Department of Pharmacology, College of Basic Medical Sciences, Tianjin Medical University, Tianjin 300070, China; 2State Key Laboratory of Medicinal Chemical Biology, Nankai University, Tianjin 300071, China Abstract Short QT syndrome (SQTS) is a genetic arrhythmogenic disease that can cause malignant arrhythmia and sudden cardiac death. The current therapies for SQTS have application restrictions. We previously found that Mg· (NH2CH2CH2SO3)2· H2O, a taurine-magnesium coordination compound (TMCC) exerted anti-arrhythmic effects with low toxicity. In this study we established 3 different models to assess the potential anti-arrhythmic effects of TMCC on type 2 short QT syndrome (SQT2). In Langendorff guinea pig-perfused hearts, perfusion of pinacidil (20 μmol/L) significantly shortened the QT interval and QTpeak and increased rTp-Te (P<0.05 vs control). Subsequently, perfusion of TMCC (1–4 mmol/L) dose-dependently increased the QT interval and QTpeak (P<0.01 vs pinacidil). TMCC perfusion also reversed the rTp-Te value to the normal range. In guinea pig ventricular myocytes, perfusion of trapidil (1 mmol/L) significantly shortened the action potential duration at 50% (APD50) and 90% repolarization (APD90), which was significantly reversed by TMCC (0.01–1 mmol/L, P<0.05 vs trapidil).

Opinnäytetyö liittyy keskeisesti juuri tähän tietotekniikan haaraan, ja aiheena on Yocto SDK (Software Development Kit) -sovelluskehitysympäristön asennus ja käyttö. Ohjelmointi ei varsinaisesti kuulunut opinnäytetyön piiriin, vaan ainoastaan hyvin pieni esimerkkiohjelma luotiin ja testattiin Raspberry Pi 3 -minitietokoneella. Työssä lähdettiin liikkeelle Yocto SDK:n asennustiedoston luomisesta Yocto-projektin työvälineillä, mutta itse Yocto-projektin asennus oletettiin jo ennalta suoritetuksi. Yocto-projekti ja Yocto SDK:n uusin versio ovat toiminnoiltaan keskenään lähes vastaavia, joskin Yocto SDK on enemmän suunniteltu nimenomaan sovellusohjelmien kehitykseen ja Yocto-projekti käyttöjärjestelmien luomiseen. Uusimmat versiot näistä järjestelmistä kykenevät molempiin tehtäviin, eikä ero näiden kahden välillä ole suuri. Opinnäytetyössä Yocto SDK asennettiin Linux Ubuntu 18.04 -järjestelmään Yocto-projektilla luodun asennustiedoston avulla. Yocto SDK:n asentamisen
