December began with Thanksgiving break, ended with Winter Break, and packed a lot in between. On the first full weekend of December, we had a Shalom

(520) 327-4501 Shabbat Rocks service, led with the help of the B’nai Mitzvah students. The following morning, the th4 - 5th graders and B’nai Mitzvah students helped lead Shabbat No’ar.

All students finished preparing for the Hanukkah Spectacular, and on December 15, they performed what they had prepared. Following that, they cel- 6 ebrated Hanukkah with treats, games, crafts, and a piñata. They made dreidels out of clay and origami, played checkers with gelt, played dreidel twister, had www.tetucson.org their faces painted, and picked from a range of Ha- nukkah crafts.

On December 22, JJCTEY, our Middle School youth group, had a Hannukah celebration. They watched a movie while making and decorating sugar cookies, and made glow-in-the-dark, sequined slime.

Winter Break began after Hebrew School on De- cember 17; classes resume on January 7 for grades 3-7 and January 12 for everyone else.
