Green Line LRT Extension (“Southwest LRT”) Civil Construction 00150 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Notice is given that on January 9, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. the Metropolitan Council will receive and publicly open separate sealed bids for Green Line LRT Extension (“Southwest LRT”) Civil Construction, Project Number 61001, Contract Number 15P307A, at their office at 390 North Robert Street, St. Paul, MN, 55101-1805. Sealed bids should be delivered to the receptionist. This is a re-bid of solicitation 15P307. Subcontractors who worked on the following contracts: Advanced Design Consultant Services for the METRO Green Line Extension (Southwest LRT) Project, Preliminary Engineering Consultant Services for the Southwest Light Rail Transit Project – Eden Prairie and Minnetonka, or Preliminary Engineering Consultant Services for the Southwest Light Rail Transit Project – Hopkins, St. Louis Park and Minneapolis, cannot work as a subcontractor on this construction contract. Section 12.06 of the contracts states: “Restriction on Subcontractor Work. The Green Line Light Rail Transit Extension (Southwest Light Rail Transit Line) is approximately 14.5 miles of new double track proposed as an extension of the METRO Green Line (Central Corridor LRT). The Work is located in the following 5 cities: Minneapolis, St Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka, and Eden Prairie, extending from Target Field Station in Minneapolis to SouthWest Transit Station in Eden Prairie. 15P307A Advertisement for Bids 61001 00150-1 Green Line LRT Extension (“Southwest LRT”) Civil Construction The Work of this Project includes new bridges, pedestrian cut and cover LRT tunnels, cut and cover tunnels, modifications to existing bridges, retaining walls, light rail track, park-and-ride surface lots and a parking ramp, light rail stations, the demolition of existing buildings, trail improvements, freight rail relocation, underground public utilities, underground communications, drainage, sidewalk and roadway pavements, street lighting, signal and traction power ducts, above and below-grade traffic signal facilities, and catenary pole foundations. For the purposes of this contract, the COUNCIL has established a 16% goal for DBE participation.
