Rules Racing shall be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS), the prescriptions of the RYA, the Class Rules, except as any are altered by these Sailing Instructions (SI), and by supplements to these Sailing Instructions. 2. Entries and eligibility 2.1 Competitors shall enter and pay the entry fee before the first race in which they sail. 2.2 All competitors and their guests shall be temporary members of Burghfield Sailing Club (BSC) for the duration of the meeting, and shall comply with BSC Rules and By-laws. 2.3 The safety of a boat and her entire management, including insurance, shall be the sole and inescapable responsibility of the owner/person in charge who must ensure that the boat and crew are adequate to face the conditions that may arise in the course of the race. The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing 2017 - 2020. 1.2. The bye-laws of Queen Mary Sailing Club will apply and may be found at www.queenmary.org.uk. NOTE: Dogs (with the exception of guide dogs) are not permitted on the club’s land. 1.3. Not used 1.4 Racing Rules will be changed as follows: Adequate personal flotation devices shall be worn by all crew members at all times when afloat and flag Y will not be shown. This changes rule 40. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in disqualification without a hearing. This changes rule 63.1. For Multi-hull classes the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty. This changes rule 44.1. Appendix A9 ‘Race Scores in a Series longer than a Regatta’ will apply. The Sailing Instructions may also change other racing rules. 1.5 The Exoneration Penalty and the Advisory Hearing and RYA Arbitration of the RYA Rules Disputes Procedures will be available as detailed in the RYA Racing Rules Guidance Booklet, December 2015. The Exoneration Penalty shall be 30% of the number of boats starting the race or 3 places, whichever is greater. 2. ADVERTISING Advertising will be allowed in accordance with the Class Rules of the competing classes. 3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY The series is open to all dinghy classes and QMSC approved classes of multi-hulls, keelboats and boards.

    RS Classes Associations GENERAL NOTICE OF RACE 2019 for UK National Circuit events and Winter, Inland, Spring, Summer, Southern, Northern, Scottish, Youth & Junior and End of Season Championships/Regattas Organising Authority – RS Classes Associations in conjunction with various yacht and sailing clubs 1. PROGRAMME 1.1 The RS Class Association will organise events for all RS classes throughout the year in conjunction with various yacht and sailing clubs. Events governed by this notice will be RS Association organised RS National Tour events, Championships and Regattas. Details of the events and their locations will be published on the RS Associations websites, accessed at http://www.rssailing.org/ 1.2 The UK RS Class Associations may organise additional events or cancel scheduled events if it thinks fit. Members of the UK Class Associations will be informed of such changes through the website, Fast News or mailings. 1.3 As set out in All Class Rules, to compete, either the helm or crew shall be a member of one of the following RS Associations – RS100, RS200, RS300, RS400, RS500 RS600, RS700, RS800 or RS Vareo Class Association. 2.
