COUNTY OF MONMOUTH County Clerk Archives American Revolution Pension Requests Transcripts Ager - Worrell 1783 - 1856 COUNTY OF MONMOUTH County Clerk Archives American Revolution Pension Request Ager, Hugh State of New Jersey } On this twenty fifth day of Monmouth County } July in the year of our Lord eighteen Hundred and twenty personally appeared in open Court, being a Court of Record and the Inferior Court of Common Pleas in and for the County of Monmouth Hugh Ager, aged near sixty eight years, resident in the said County whom being first duly sworn according to law does on oath declare that he Served in the Revolutionary War as follows to wit in Captain William Eugene Imlays Company in the third Jersey Regiment Commanded by Colonel Elias Dayton - in which Company he the said Hugh Ager Served one year, and after the end of the year Served, He the said Hugh Ager served in the Company of Captain Gifford about three years and after Served in the Company of Captain Joseph Anderson & remained in his Company till the termination of the War - and that his original declaration is dated the Sixth day of June Eighteen Hundred and Eighteen, and that the number of his Certificate of Pension is (16214) and I do Solemnly Swear the I was a resident Citizen of the United States of the 18th day of March 1818, and that I have not since that time by Gift, Sale or in any manner disposed of my property or any part thereof, with Intent thereby so to diminish it, as to bring myself within the provisions of an act of Congress Entitled "An act to provide for Certain persons engaged in the Land and Naval Service of the United States in the Revolutionary War" - Passed on the 18th day of March 1818, and that I have not, nor has any person in trust for me any property or Securities, Contracts or debts due to me nor have I any Income other than what is Contained in the Schedule hereto annexed and by me subscribed. Phillips Clk COUNTY OF MONMOUTH County Clerk Archives American Revolution Pension Request Allen, Jacob State of New Jersey } Monmouth County Ss: } On the twenty Seventh day of July, eighteen hundred and twenty, personally appeared in Open Count, Being a Court of Record and the Inferior Court of Common Pleas in and for the Said County of Monmouth Jacob Allen, aged about Seventy three Years. a resident in the said County, who being first duly Sworn according to law, does on his oath declare that he Served in the Revolutionary War as follows in Captain Elias Longstreet's Company and in the __ Jersey __ Regiment, Commanded by Col. Mines - And that his original declaration is dated the thirteenth day of April eighteen hundred and eighteen, and that the number of his Certificate of Pension is (2166.) And I do solemnly swear that I was a resident Citizen of the United States on the 18th day of March 1818. And that I have not since that time by gift, Sale or in any Manner disposed of My property or any part thereof, with intent thereby so to diminish it as to bring myself within the provisions of an Act of Congress, entitled, "An act to provide for certain persons engaged in the land and Naval Service of the United States in the Revolutionary War" - passed on the 18th day of March 1818. And that I have not nor has any person in trust for me any property or Securities Contracts or debts due to me, nor have I any income other than what is contained in the Schedule hereto annexed and by me Subscribed.. One grubbing hoe, one old ax - One old trowel, 1. chest with some tools in, four Barrels tight, two pitch forks, two rakes - one Pitcher, three Tumblers, One iron shovel - one Set iron traces, three earthen Pots, three milk pans - one Churn one washing Tub - three Pails - one lye Tub - three Candle Sticks - two Catrige Boxes and Bayonet - Powder horn & shot bag - One large Spinning Wheel - one Small spinning wheel, one flax Brake & one half Bushel Measure and Two Trammels. Jacob Allan In further this Declarant Saith he is a Cooper by trade, but has not pursued for Several years past his occupation for a Support on account of inability - And that his family Consists of his wife Margaret, aged about fifty eight Capable of contributing to her Support in the family - his Daughter Elizabeth, about twenty eight years of age, Capable of Supporting herself, his Son Jacob, aged about twenty Six years Capable of Supporting himself. Jacob Allan Sworn to and declared in Open Court on this 27th day of July AD. 1820 - Before Wm J. Phillips Clk State of New Jersey } Monmouth County } ss Peter Johnson West - of said County being duly sworn on his oath saith that Margaret Allen a revolutionary Pensioner of the United Stats residing in Raritan township Monmouth County New Jersey died on the twenty first day of August in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty at her residence in the township county & state aforesaid and that she left her surviving - these following children to wit Jane Tice the wife of Edmund Th. Tice, Jacob Allen Elizabeth Allen who are the only surviving children and further Saith not Sworn & subscribed this } eighteenth day of September } Peter J. West AD 1850 before me } Joseph D. Hoff Justice of the Peace } appeared in Open Count, Being a Court of Record and the Inferior Court of Common Pleas in and for the Said County of Monmouth Month Pleas } In the matter of } the Pension of } Afft Margaret Allen } Of a Revolutionary } death Pensioner } J. COUNTY OF MONMOUTH County Clerk Archives American Revolution Pension Request Bennett, Samuel State of New Jersey } Monmouth County } On this eighteenth day of October, eighteen hundred and twenty personally appeared in Open Count, Being a Court of Record and the Inferior Court of Common Pleas in and for the Said County of Monmouth Samuel Bennett aged Sixty three and upwards, a resident in the said County, who being first duly Sworn according to law, does on his oath declare that he Served in the Revolutionary War as follows, in Captain John Burrows's Company and in the New Jersey Line (does not recollect the No. of the Regiment or name of the Col.) and that his original declaration is dated the twenty fourth day of February eighteen hundred and twenty and that the number of his Certificate of Pension is (17,431.) And I do Solemnly swear that I was a resident Citizen of the United States on the 18th day of March 1818. And that I have not since that time by gift, Sale or in any Manner disposed of My property or any part thereof, with intent thereby so to diminish it as to bring myself within the provisions of an Act of Congress, entitled, "An act to provide for certain persons engaged in the land and Naval Service of the United States in the Revolutionary War" - passed on the 18th day of March 1818. And that I have not nor has any person in trust for me any property or Securities Contracts or debts due to me, nor have I any income other than what is contained in the Schedule hereto annexed and by me Subscribed. Schedule About 23 Acres of land House and Barn on the same - 2.horses, 3 Cows, 3 Small Cattle, 1 Old waggon and part of another One, 1 Plow, l harrow, 1 ax, 2 hoes, 4 hogs, 2 Sheep, 6 chairs 2. Spinning wheels, 2 rakes, 2 flails, 2 pitch-forks, 1 iron Pot, 1 do tea Kettle, Lot Crockery - Some Spoons- Samuel Bennett Declarant further Saith that he is a farmer has no other occupation and is capable of pursuing it in Common for a Support, though at times Subject to the rheumatism - and that he has in family five besides himself, to wit, his wife Phebe, about fifty five years of age Capable of Contributing toward her Support in the family - his Son Nehemiah Bennet aged about twenty one, Capable of Supporting himself - Mary Bennet aged about twenty years, capable of earning a Support - Samuel Bennet aged about five years - and William Bennet aged about eight months, the two last mentioned are grand children.
