Hi and welcome to Intro Matchmaking! Let us give you a quick run-down on our company. We launched Intro in 2011 following on from a rich career in amateur matchmaking. Divine inspiration from an eligible gentleman drinking alone in our local paired with the success of our own personal introduction by Feargal’s brother gave us an idea to set up Intro Matchmaking. Starting with just the one employee working from one office, we now have 5 employees working 6 days from our suite of offices on Dawson Street in Dublin 2.

To date we have organised over 3,000 introductions Nationwide with the Company growing by almost 300% each year. We meet each client face to face (we travel the country) so that we can put together a proper profile. We check everyone’s ID to make sure they are who they say they are and we also organise each date – we don’t simply pass on phone numbers, we go so far as to arrange all of the introductions and call afterwards for feedback.

We are widely considered the matchmaking experts in Ireland. Since 2012, we have been invited on to RTE’s Late Late Show, RTE’s Morning Edition, RTE’s What Women Want with Maia Dunphy and The Morning Show on TV3. Rena has regularly appeared as a panellist on TV3’s Midday. appearances include The John Murray Show on RTE Radio 1, Dave Fanning (filling in for Tubridy) on 2FM and Down To Business with Bobby Kerr on . We contribute regularly to talk shows on local stations around the country including Ocean FM, Limerick Live 95FM, , LMFM, Sunshine Radio, Spin 1038 and WLR FM. We have featured in countless articles in the Sunday Independent, , Irish Times Saturday Magazine, , Sunday Business Post, , Irish Daily Mail, , Irish Daily Mirror, The Irish Sun, Gazette Newspapers, www.her.ie, www..ie, thejournal.ie, Irish Tatler, Club Rugby Magazine and Business Plus magazine.

There are over 1 million single people in Ireland and our goal is to provide an accessible and comprehensive matchmaking service for anyone that is prepared to invest the time in meeting the right match. We feel that there really is someone for everyone. With our youngest member being 22 and our oldest at 79, you are never too young or too old to take the direct route to finding a suitable match with Intro. We have people from many nationalities, all types of professions from CEO’s to Administrators and Farmers to Pilots. We have people from all creeds, sexualities – straight or gay and marital status be they single/separated/divorced or widowed. We don’t try to change people, we don’t try to alter them in any way, in fact we encourage everyone to be themselves on dates, otherwise the match will fail in the long run. We are not life coaches or psychologists, we just encourage honesty and specialise in providing suitable matches for our clients based on what they want or look for in a partner.

Rena and I were introduced by my brother Eoin in 2010. I proposed in June 2013 and we have set a date for our wedding in June 2014. I come from a sales background with 10 years as an estate agent so I have spent a decade dealing with customers making the largest and most important purchase of their lives. It helped me develop a deep understanding of people, their motivations and what they want. This experience has been particularly relevant as we are now dealing with an even more important aspect of people’s lives – LOVE.

Rena’s background is in media, having run radio stations and worked in television. Similarly, Rena has a strong background in sales and customer service. She began matchmaking more than 10 years ago with a huge amount of success. Rena’s birthday is considered particularly lucky with 3 sets of friends meeting their partners on her birthday and they are all now married with kids. So, if you’re single, try and get an appointment with Rena on the 23rd of April!
