This weekend the Casey Cardinia League will say goodbye to the Keysborough Football Netball Club. Keysborough came across to the MPNFL with other former South West Gippsland League clubs in 1995 and has been a wonderful contributor over the last 20 years. On behalf of all involved in the PCNSA, especially here at the office, we wish the club good luck as it leaves to join a competition closer to its area. Another reminder that the annual vote count functions are looming fast and it is time to make sure club members are aware of this. These events are always a highlight of the year and an invitation is a great way to say thanks for the year. More information in regard to dates and times will be available shortly, along with official invitation lists to each club. This week is the second of our Volunteer Round celebrations and each home club is encouraged to acknowledge the efforts of the wonderful and often unsung people that keep their clubs going. As we said last week, a simple ‘thank you’ to those that many often take for granted is as good as any prize of gift. MPNFL http://twitter.com/MPNFL DISCLAIMER & COPYRIGHT STARTING TIMES

Seaford has some exciting players, most notably Johnathan Haidon, Matt Herbert, Aaron Walton and Josh Stokes. Keep these players and add some recruits and Seaford will shoot up the ladder next year. BONBEACH is headed to the qualifying final next week but first must get through a meeting with local rival CHELSEA today. The Sharks would like a win today but would probably like a clean bill of health more. Bonbeach today could bring in up to half a dozen key players, including Anthony Raso, Dylan Jones

www.peninsulafnl.com.au 11 Football Preview SHARKS SURGING IN THE RESERVES… Timing its run nicely, fifth-placed BONBEACH has struck form ahead of finals. The Sharks have kicked 39 goals in the past three games and will chase their fourth straight win today when they host CHELSEA. Shane Cochrane and Sam Rouette have been playing splendid footy. FRANKSTON YCW and LANGWARRIN face-off in the first of what could be two successive clashes. The sides could meet again in next week’s qualifying final, so today’s game will be a chance to gain an important edge. SEAFORD, which won its first three games of the season, should be able to finish with a win when it hosts KARINGAL. MORNINGTON is still a very real chance to finish in third spot, but it needs to snap a two-game losing streak and beat PINES. EDI-ASP faces flag favourites MT ELIZA, which sits a game clear on top of the ladder, ready for a shot at the title.

PERFECT REDLEGS IN THE UNDER 18s… MT ELIZA will celebrate an unblemished home-and- away season if it can beat second-placed EDI-ASP. The Redlegs are 17-from-17 and on track for a perfect season. Most of their wins have been by big margins. Edi-Asp also has enjoyed a fine season, winning 13 Nepean & Peninsula of its 17 games. But it would take something special to topple the raging flag favourites - last time the two Football teams met, Mt Eliza won by 73 points. SEAFORD, after a reality check last week, can clinch a Vote Count Dinner top-three spot by beating KARINGAL. MORNINGTON has hit a flat spot with back-to-back Monday 15th September, 2014 defeats but will look to regain some confidence against PINES. Mornington Racing Club BONBEACH, goalless last week, faces CHELSEA, Racecourse Road, Mornington which was super-impressive last week with Ciaran 6.30pm for 7.00pm start Doherty, Liam Charity, Daniel Knowles and Mason Bailey in eye-catching form. Zinzie a gun Stonecat Frankston YCW has worked hard to promote locally bred junior talent over a long period and the latest addition to that list is 18 year-old Zinzie Mosimane. The exciting young prospect has merged as a senior player this year and has earned a nomination for the 2014 Peninsula League Young Gun award. Zinzie gained his passion for football along with a decent bag of tricks during his junior days with the Frankston YCW Junior Football Club, before graduating to the senior club in 2012. It is during the last two years that he has blossomed. In 2012 Zinzie won the under 18s Most Consistent award and that saw him improve further to become key member of the 2013 under 18 premiership side and also make his senior debut, playing three games a t the top level last season. Teenager Zinzie Mosimane He has added another five games to his tally in 2014 and now looks to have from Frankston YCW locked down a spot in the ide as it enters finals as the warm flag favourites. is the latest young gun nominee for 2014. Zinzie understands he still has a lot to learn about the game but is very keen to do that at the Stonecats. “I want to keep improving my game, and hopefully get to play in a senior premiership,” he said. Frankston YCW senior coach Scott Mathers was happy to endorse Zinzie’s nomination and predicted a bright future for him. “Zinzie has a great future with our club,” he said. “He first debuted in our senior side as a 17 year-old in 2013 and played a prominent role in the 2013 under 18 premiership side. He has found a spot in the senior side this year and continues to impress everyone with his athletic capabilities, while he improves his understanding of the game. I am sure he will become an outstanding player in the future.”
