Concept
The World Football Cup for Bar associations and law firms, called “Mundiavocat”, is an international football tournament open to law- yers worldwide only. Created in 1983, the event has ex- panded consideraly since. The 18th Mundiavocat, in 2016, brought together 104 teams from 37 countries in Europe, America, Asia and Africa! The competition, held every 2 years, lasts 10 days, from Friday to Sunday. 4 tournaments are offered – Classic, Master, Legend, and Five – and each team plays between 5 and 7 games, www.mundiavocat.com from 60 to 70 minutes, depending on the category and their progress in the tournament. The FUTBOL SALOU Complex
In 2018, the Mundiavocat will take place in one of the finest football complexes in Spain. Futbol Salou is a centre with high-quality football pitches with natural, artificial and hybrid grass. The complex’s 8 pitches will be made available to you during the competition.
The complex is in an ideal location, only a 5 minute walk from the apartments, where you can challenge – in a sporting way – your colleagues from around the world. In total, 16 pitches will be requisi- tioned throughout the city, to ensure the smooth running of the Mundiavocat.
The CAMBRILS PARK RESORT
The Cambrils Park Resort offers three types of apartments of different standards: Aloha, Villa Bonita, and Mediterrania. The quality accommodation will form the “Mundiavocat Village”, which will house the majority of participants in the compe- tition and where events will take place.
Accommodation will also be available at the Sangulì Salou Resort, which is a 5 min- ute walk away.
CAMBRILS, SALOU AND THE COSTA DAURADA
Catalonia has so much culture that you won’t know where to look: the beauti- ful buildings of Barcelona, such as the Sagrada Familia and the Palau de la Música Catalana, or the impressive ar- chaeological site of Tarraco, all classed as UNESCO World Heritage sites, and of course, the famous “Camp Nou”, the legendary stadium of FC Barcelona!

3 RATES
The cost of participation in the 19th edition of the Mundiavocat consist of registration fees per team and Accommodation expenses per person
Registration fees per team

These fees include: All expenses for the sports organisation of the tournament, the provision of football pitches, balls, refereeing (3 referees and 2 delegates per match), water on the pitch, medical assistance at the the touch line, cups, trophies, medals.
Accommodation expenses per person
Prices per person based on a double/twin room shared by two people. The number of apartments in each category is limited; we will therefore be operating under a «first deposit received, first served» policy. Given the financial commitments entered into with partner hotels and in order to be able to participate to the Mundiavocat, it is mandatory and without exception to book your accomodation through the organisation.

1. Team registration
1.1. The tournament is open exclusively to teams of lawyers from bar associations, groups of bar associations, and law firms.
1.2. Each team must include: • 11-a-side football: 13-26 players • 5-a-side football: 6-13 players
2. Player Eligibility
2.1. Team creation
Each team must be formed taking into account the following provisions: With the exception of cases of exemption referred to in section 2.2 below, players must be: • lawyers registered (or previously registered) at a bar of the country of the registered team; • law students or trainee lawyers, over 22 years of age (born before 31/12/1996), within the limit of 2 per team for Classic and Five tournaments.
2.2 Cases of Exemption
Exemptions may concern the holders of a diploma of higher legal or judicial studies, and more generally permanent employees of law firms, insofar as they do not exceed 4 players for the 11-a-side tournaments and 2 players for the 5-a-side tournaments. In this case, a list including lawyers and non-lawyers, as well as a statement from the law firm to ensure that the non-lawyers are permanent employees of the company, must be provided. These employees must be over 30 years of age (born before 31/12/1988) for the Classic and Five tournaments, over 35 years of age for the Master tournament (born before 31/12/1983), over 45 years of age for the Legend tournament (born before 31/12/1973) and over 55 years of age for the Super Legend tournament (born before 31/12/1963).
2.3 Validation of exemptions
No exemption requests will be accepted for non-lawyers playing for or having played football for a professional club, for a semi-professional club, or any other club for payment. To be admissible, exemption requests should be sent to Mr Vincent Pinatel, lawyer and founder of Mundiavocat, no later than forty-five (45) days prior to the start of the tournament.
All conditions set out above relating to exemptions are mandatory, but are not in themselves sufficient to guarantee an exemption. The final decision rests with the exemptions commission, composed of Mr Vincent Pinatel and Mr Pierre Chicco (tournament director).
