This Handbook provides the resources that will enable you to be an informed and active participant in your education, and help to ensure your ability to complete the Ph.D. in Health Sciences program of study within an appropriate timeframe. This handbook is intended to supplement the University Graduate Catalog, and policies, rules, and regulations available from the Graduate School and South Dakota Board of Regents. All students are responsible for understanding and adhering to the contents of the most current Health Sciences Ph.D. Student Handbook. Students are expected to read this Handbook carefully and adhere to its policies and the various deadlines publicized by the Program, School of Health Sciences, Graduate School, and University. It is important to remember that the attitudes and actions of students in the program are a direct reflection on the program, the university, and health- and human-service related professions. Consequently, we expect students to act in a professional manner at all times.
