BLUE LETTER NINETEENSIXTYMINE a world to be born under your footsteps. st. john perse metuchen high school metuchen, new jersey table of contents administration 8 faculty 12 seniors 26 underclassmen 72 activities 90 sports 124 We, the class of 1969, sincerely dedicate the Blue Letter to Mr. James Kelly, Guidance Director. Many of his tasks require much time and devotion, and little of these are acknowledged. This dedication can be but a small thank you for the amount of service this man has given us through our years at Metuchen High School. We hope that it can express the gratitude we feel. 5 I -; - > f . the wise man looks into spac « | and does not regard the small as too little, nor the great as too big; for he knows that there is no limit to dimensions. lao-tse Of all the diseases suffered by mankind, probably the most significant and least noticed is haughtiness. When you begin to feel that the contribu tions you have made to mankind are so great that your replacement would be a monumental task, try this; plunge your hand into a basin of water and withdraw it very fast. Notice how fast the hole left by your hand was filled. That’s how difficult it would really be. If, however, you want to conquer this tendency, try the application of these two poems, “ If” by Rudyard Kipling and “When” by Paul Workman. R.
