The celebration honors schools and students that have achieved Touchdown status with Fuel Up to Play 60, successfully completing the program. Fuel Up to Play 60 features six steps focused on fueling up with healthy foods to have the energy for 60 minutes of activity. Student teams will participate in a pep rally and a physical activity that reinforces the program’s healthy message. Not in terms of age or years of NFL service – those go to backup quarterback Jon Kitna (37 and 14 respectively) – but in tenure with the Cowboys. Gurode is entering his eighth season with the Cowboys. “I wouldn’t say it felt like yesterday,” said Gurode, a second round pick in 2002 after Roy Williams and before Antonio Bryant, “but it felt like I just came here a few years ago. I couldn’t imagine going through the stuff I’ve been through and the years and just all of the things it took to get to this point. It’s like, ‘Wow, it’s really been a journey.’” Gurode was Adams’ teammate for eight years, who was once Michael Irvin’s teammate, who played with Everson Walls, who was a Cowboy with Harvey Martin, who played defensive line with Bob Lilly, the Cowboys’ first draft pick in 1961, who came a year after Eddie LeBaron was the quarterback for an 0-11-1 team in the franchise’s first year.

Palmer threw for 272 yards and two touchdowns on 27 of 33 passing for a 121.2 passer rating in the Bengals’ 31-23 victory over the Tennessee Titans. He threw touchdowns of one and 15 yards to help Cincinnati improve to 5-1. Tomlinson carried 31 times for 140 yards and one touchdown in the Chargers’ 27-14 victory over the AFC West-rival Oakland Raiders. He added a 35-yard touchdown reception and a four-yard touchdown pass. Palmer and Tomlinson were selected from among finalists in air and ground categories through 94,222 fan votes on NFL.com. The Pro Bowl players were determined by the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches. Each group’s vote counted one-third toward determining the 86 Pro Bowl selections announced today. Two additional “need” players will be chosen by each head coach and must be long snappers. The NFL is the only sports league that combines voting by fans, coaches and players to determine its all-star teams. In 1995, the NFL became the first professional sports league to offer online all-star voting. Two Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receivers – MICHAEL IRVIN and JERRY RICE – will serve as NFL Legends captains for the 2016 Pro Bowl. Irvin and Rice return for the second time after being the winning captains during the previous two Pro Bowls. Five-time Pro Bowler DARREN WOODSON (Team Irvin) and two-time Pro Bowler ERIC DAVIS (Team Rice) will serve as defensive co-captains. The NFL legends will also each be assisted by two active player captains and one NFL.com fantasy football champion in the draft process.

    Von Miller, Phillip Lindsay selected to 2019 Pro Bowl; Three Broncos tabbed as alternates By Aric DiLalla DenverBroncos.com December 19, 2018 Outside linebacker Von Miller and running back Phillip Lindsay have been selected to the 2019 Pro Bowl, the NFL announced Tuesday. Miller has now been selected to the Pro Bowl seven times, and he has been chosen every year since 2014. His 14.5 sacks this season are tied for second in the NFL. To read more about Miller’s Pro Bowl season, click here. Lindsay, meanwhile, becomes the first undrafted offensive rookie to earn a Pro Bowl bid. The Colorado product ranks in the top five in the NFL in rushing yards, rushing average and rushing touchdowns. He currently has 991 yards and nine touchdowns through 14 games. To read more about Lindsay’s Pro Bowl season, click here. The Broncos also had three players named alternates for the 2019 Pro Bowl. Cornerback Chris Harris Jr., wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and outside linebacker Bradley Chubb were all tabbed as alternates. Harris tallied three interceptions, one sack and 49 tackles during his 12 starts in 2018. In Week 7, he returned one of those picks for a touchdown. He suffered a leg injury in Week 13 against the Bengals. Sanders, who suffered an Achilles injury in practice ahead of the Broncos’ game against the 49ers, tallied 71 catches for 868 yards and four receiving touchdowns. He also ran for a touchdown and caught a touchdown this season. The Broncos placed Sanders on IR ahead of their Week 14 game.
